As a newbie lover to the Throne of Glass series, I read all three books this summer, I was delighted when I was asked by Alexa from Alexa Loves Books, Rachel from Hello Chelly, Judith from Paper Riot, Katie from Polished Page-Turners, and Jaz from Fiction in Fiction in Fiction to take part in the Thirteen Days of Ash and Fire Tour to help celebrate the release of Sarah J. Maas’ newest book in the series, Heir of Fire with the other 12 fabulous bloggers on the following schedule.

Synopsis:
Lost and broken, Celaena Sardothien’s only thought is to avenge the savage death of her dearest friend: as the King of Adarlan’s Assassin, she is bound to serve this tyrant, but he will pay for what he did. Any hope Celaena has of destroying the king lies in answers to be found in Wendlyn. Sacrificing his future, Chaol, the Captain of the King’s Guard, has sent Celaena there to protect her, but her darkest demons lay in that same place. If she can overcome them, she will be Adarlan’s biggest threat – and his own toughest enemy.
While Celaena learns of her true destiny, and the eyes of Erilea are on Wendlyn, a brutal and beastly force is preparing to take to the skies. Will Celaena find the strength not only to win her own battles, but to fight a war that could pit her loyalties to her own people against those she has grown to love?

I wasn’t really sure what I was going to do for my stop on the tour. I haven’t posted my review for Heir of Fire yet so I thought about doing that but it just seemed too dull. So then I started to brainstorm and I came up with what I always like to do, dress the character(s). So I decided to dress Celaena Sardothien.
The Assassin
Celaena is an assassin. She kills people for a living and has for a very long time. That is what she has been trained to do. She’s hardcore and she would look hardcore. When pulling her look together I went for leather and lots of it. Since she needs to be able to move I found pants that also had some stretch to them and flat boots of course. And no assassin is any good without their sword. I don’t know about you, but I wouldn’t want to meet her in a dark alley.
The Lady
The other side of Celaena is the girly side and that I love about her. She has killed and maimed more people than she could count. She has a reputation of being a cold blooded killer. But she is also a girl. She loves pretty things; dresses, shoes, jewelry. She has to hide that part of herself but it is still there. Because of that I chose a blue dress with sparkle detail and gold accents. Celaena would want people to notice her, but would also want to be able to blend in. I felt this dress fit that part perfectly and would work for any of the events at the palace.
So there you have it, the two sides of Celaena Sardothien. She is definitely a puzzle and grows into a bigger and bigger one with every book.

Love the outfits you chose! I can’t wait to keep reading…I’m actually only slightly annoyed that I have to get my car serviced this afternoon b/c I know it will give me uninterrupted reading time!
I totally want to be Celeana for Halloween, this has given me inspiration!
Everyone keeps raving about this series!
These outfits are AMAZING! How very Celaena and soooo gorgeous!
Flawless clothing choices all around!
Gosh, stunning outfits! I really like the pants from the first outfit and I totally see her wearing that if she is sneaking around rooftops in the middle of the night. The top of the dress is gorgeous and I love the color!
I love a badass heroine! I can’t wait to finally get into this series. 😀
Love it! Both looks are very Celaena
I’ve just started the Throne of Glass series and I’m halfway through the first book and LOVING it. I can’t wait to get to the rest of these books!
When I saw the outfits you’d picked out for Celaena for your post, the first thought in my mind: perfect! These two looks are definitely something I could see Celaena donning, but I think I’m just a tad bit more fond of the assassin look personally 😉
[…] She’s also pretty famous for her outfit and book/character pairings! She’s dressed Celaena Sardothien from the Throne of Glass series and Maya Henry from Jesse’s Girl, as well as selected holiday […]

I love the costume ideas for Celaena! I have a fancy dress party this year and the theme is damsels in distress and knights in shining armour, so I though I’d come as a damsel who is also known as ‘Fire Breathing Bitch Queen’ 🙂
