The Re-Read Challenge Introduction

Re-Read Challenge

It is like the saying goes, nothing fits like a worn out comfortable pair of shoes. And nothing can sometimes make me happier than a nice reread. When I get in a reading slump or just need a pallet cleanser, I reach for the reread. It’s because of this that I have read Anna and the French Kiss at least 9 times and why I had 16 rereads in 2014 alone. I’m drawn to it. I can’t help it. So when I saw Hannah and Kelly were running a challenge to rereading in 2015, I couldn’t pass it up. It is like it was born just for me to make my rereading have a purpose other than just making me happy.

So what is The Re-Read Challenge you ask? Well Hannah explains it here and you can also sign-up in the same place. But basically it is pretty simple. You pick a number of books you want to re-read through out 2015 and you know, re-read them. At the beginning of every month write a blog post recapping the books that you did in fact re-read and maybe the ones you are looking at for the next month. When December 31st hits you see if you made your goal. Done. Told you it was easy.

 audio reread

So like I said above I reread 16 books, some more than once, in 2014. 9 of those 16 were audio (picture on the left) and the rest were either eBooks or physical copies. What can I say, I like a good reread. So when I was thinking about this challenge and how many books I would like to reread in 2015 I wasn’t really sure where I stood. 16 is a lot and I’m not quite sure I will do that again. But You never know really what will happen. Instead I decided on 12-14. That way it is about 1 a month or more if I decided I want to. Rereading is supposed to be my pallet cleanse, my sorbet, so I don’t want to stress myself out with goals. I think 12-14 is reasonable, but we shall see.

Want to know what books I’m thinking of rereading? Well I think I’ll share with you:

I only listed 12 and this is a loose list not set in stone. If there is something I have read that you think I should reread, suggest away.

If you are interested in joining The ReRead Challenge do it HERE. And make sure you check back at the beginning on every month, starting in February, to see how I’m doing on mine.

  1. I want to do this challenge! I’m such a mood reader, if I’m unhappy with what I’m reading, I’ll gravitate towards a favorite book of mine and reread it. I can’t count the number of times I’ve reread Throne of Glass, Snow Like Ashes, and quite a few others. Good luck, rereading is always fun 🙂

  2. I already told you this on Twitter, but I am SO GLAD you’ve signed up for The Re-Read Challenge! You’re clearly going to dominate it, and I can’t wait to see what you end up re-reading this year. I was just reading your audiobook post, too, and I will be excited to see if you tackle more re-reads by audio this year. YAY!
