Along with my Goodreads Challenge (you can find my progress on the side bar) I also challenged myself to 2 other challenges for 2015. Every month I will check in with my challenge updates.
Back in December I signed up for The Re-Read Challenge hosted by Belle of the Literati and So Obsessed With. Honestly I didn’t expect this to be a problem and so far it hasn’t. I’m on track to reach my goal of 12-14 books without a hitch. My August rereads:
Basically I sucked in July and I sucked in August. I really need to get back on my reread love train!
I also committed the the Flights of Fantasy challenge run by Alexa Love Books and Hello, Chelly. As you may have heard, I am new to the fantasy genre (thank you Sarah J. Maas and Throne of Glass for this!) and I thought it would be good for me to challenge myself with this one. I have decided to do 12 so I only have to read 1 a month. My August fantasy reads:
Title: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
Author: J.K. Rowling
Date Read: August 16, 2015 – August 24, 2015
Type: Kindle Borrow
After a slow start Goblet of Fire is currently my favorite of the 4 Harry Potter books I have read. I found this story way more interesting after the 3 million pages of Quidditch that wasn’t needed. I look forward to eventually reading the 5th book and the rest of the series.
Title: Incarnate (Newsoul series)
Author: Jodi Meadows
Date Read: August 27, 2015 – August 29, 2015
Type: Paperback
I have been meaning to read Incarnate for a while now. A friend suggested reading it together so it finally happened. I really enjoyed it. Sam is ♥♥♥♥ and I loved Ana trying to figure out who she is. I have a small theory about Ana but we will see if that play outs. I look forward to finishing the series.
I did better than I thought I did with my August fantasy reads. Down to the wire, but reading 2 is a score for me. I know for a fact that September will have one with Queen of Shadows happening tomorrow, but if a Maas book is all I read in September, that is an okay way to go out.

Goblet of Fire is, by far, my favorite Harry Potter book! And you already know I love Incarnate. So basically, you read two of my personal favorites for FOF in August, which makes you awesome 😉
It’s been 5 months (or maybe 4?) that I have not reread anything. I loved rereading and now… I think the whole I live 6 minutes way from work instead of an hour like before impacted greatly my rereads. Why? I don’t listen to audiobooks on my commute anymore. 6 minutes of a book a day is not really worth buying one anymore. I’ve been on Amy & Rogers epic detour for the past 3, maybe 4 months now? I’m only a third into the audiobook. Shame on me!
