Recently a friend sent me a tweet asking what I thought about polka dots and if they were staying in style. I told her my personal opinion which others have agreed with…polka dots never go out of style. They are a classic and will be around for a long time. Whether you like the minimal look with a polka dotted iPhone case or a bold tight, they will be around for a long long time. This of course got me thinking and I had no choice but to play with my adult version of paper dolls and bring you polka dot style:
Polka Dot Dress
There is something about a cute flowy polka dot dress that makes me think of the 1950s. Add a pink peep toe pump to compliment the navy blue and a Balenciaga bag(I’m dieing just thinking about one!) and you are good to go. If you want to dress it down, throw on a pair of flats and a denim jacket. Easy day to night look.
Polka Dots and Stripes Casual
I know, sounds crazy right? Polk dots AND stripes??!! But look how polished it looks with a skinny denim and rich blue flat? Add in the Hamilton tote that you all know I love and you have the perfect casual look for running errands or hanging out with your girls. (Side note: I NEED those jeans!)
Polka Dot Skirt
I have personally been on the hunt for a polka dot skirt for a while now. I’ve mostly been looking at pencil skirts, but there is something intriguing about this one. I love the waist structure with the bell shaped bottom. Wear a pair of flats, boots or wedges in and you good to go. The denim jacket is the perfect thing to throw on when there is a chill in the air.
Polka Dot Pants
This look is getting to be my uniform this winter. Just about everyday you will find me in a pair of skinny pants with flats and a cardigan sweater. It is easy and it is comfortable. But after a while you get tired of the same old look and need to change it up. These polka dot skinnies are the exact way to do that. Wearing a polka do pattern easily brings interest to an outfit that could be very drab and boring.
So, how do you wear your polka dots?
I so want the dress and skirt! Adorable!
