Plus Size Style

Posted March 14, 2013 by Andi in Outfits, Paper Dolls / 0 Comments

I received a request from a friend asking if I would do some plus size style. I am a huge believer that size doesn’t matter clothing size doesn’t matter. Don’t look at the size and go into size shock. That, much like age, is just a number. What is important is fit. If your clothes fit and fit right it doesn’t matter what section of a store you shop in or what the number is on the inside label. To some this request may have been a hard challenge, I’m looking at you Project Runway contestants! But I had fun and had a hard time narrowing it down to just a few looks. If you are a plus size there are some really great options out there at a variety of stores including Forever 21, H&M, Torrid(exclusively plus size) and department stores like Nordstroms and Macy’s. Okay, okay, enough babbling. Here is what I pulled together:

Jeans PS

Jeans by andiabcs featuring straight jeans

Skinnies PS

Skinnies by andiabcs featuring j crew flats

Skirt PS

Skirt by andiabcs featuring plus size knit tops

Dress PS

Dress by andiabcs featuring forever 21

So what do you  think? Any requests please feel free to contact me. You know how to find me.

    • They certainly do. And some H&M stores are starting to carry Plus Sizes as well. Really great options out there for plus size women these days when it comes to shopping. Catalog stores like Alloy and Delia’s are getting into the game as well.

Thank you so much Andi. I didn’t know H&M was starting to carry plus size. I love the Pink sweater, I shouldn’t ask but where is it from. LOL

Also, love the turqious shirt in the second selection but am always uncomfortable with belts. I did go out of my comfort zone and bought 2 sweaters with belts last week.

  2. Thank you!!! I want the entire ensemble from the top. That top/sweater is adorable. And the bag!!! I want, I want!! 😀 You are a fashion stud! I need to channel your ability somehow. Went shopping yesterday and hated it. Booo! No fun! Although, I did pick up a bit of your flair, I’m going to pick up some cute Michael Kors wedges today. 😀 Keep rubbing off on me.

Cute stuff! I want that jacket in the first group. Like right now. I have a challenge for you. Petite plus size jeans. I live in skirts and dresses for the most part cause jeans are damn hard to find!

    • Is a 30″ inseam too long? If not, check out Alloy. A variety of jean styles in a variety of sizes from 00(which isn’t a size in my opinion) to 25. Pretty good style and selection.

You underestimate how short I truly am. My inseam is more like 25-27 inches. Under 5 feet here and even shorter legs to boot! haha
