Handbags

Handbags are a passion of mine. I feel they have the potential to completely switch up a look and to add some interest to it. I’m okay admitting that I am a handbag junkie. I’ve gotten better since I purchased my Michael Kors Hamilton Tote but I still like to look and if something jumps out at me I have no problem making the purchase. Below are a few bags in different price ranges. You will notice in the Splurge group they are all neutral/basic colors. That’s because I consider bags like that to be investment pieces and you should ALWAYS stay away from a trendy color or pattern when making that decision. I swear by it and it has done very well for me in the past.

    Nice bags!

Ha. My neutral bag is red and all of my other ones are bright patterns. I’m a sucker for Vera Bradley so I have a lot of printed bags from them. Also some Tokidoki ones that I adore but are never quite the right size to actually be useful. I am also crazy and have a Kipling bag in 4 different colors/prints but since that bag design is now discontinued I feel like it was the right choice at the time!

Splurge wise I’d love a bag from Cambridge Satchel Co but I worry they’re impractical.

    • I think Cambridge Satchel is very practical. Especially for a person that works and may take the subway. The leather seems sturdy and the bag seems functional.

  2. Love handbags too. I have not made a splurge purchase as of yet. Right now I’m sporting a Kavu bag because its functional and I can carry a nook and 2 books in it 🙂

    • It took me a while to make my splurge purchase. I mean I’ve had nylon Prada bags and Kate Spade and Coach. But I’ve never spent what I did on my Hamilton until I was sure. Best money spent.
