Top Ten Tuesday – Books I Would Recommend To…

Posted November 19, 2013 by Andi in Top 10 Tuesday / 0 Comments

After talking with Kayla at The Thousand Lives and learning she isn’t, or more accurately now, wasn’t, a fan of contemporary books I decided to do a spin on that for today’s Top Ten Tuesday. Instead of me suggesting books for a certain person I decided to like of 10 books I would suggestion to dystopian/fantasy/sci-fi lovers that would get them interested in Contemporary books. And then I did 10 books for contemporary lovers that would get them interested in other worlds.

  1. Wow this was ambitious of you!! Very well thought out list! I totally agree about Shadowlands. I’m a contemporary fan who fears most of the fantasy and dystopian and paranormal genres. But I loved Shadowlands… even though it kind if tricked me into thinking it was contemporary for 99% of the book. Then I read the 2nd book and I was totally feeling the different world thing 🙂 I might try some of you other suggestions too… like Splintered, The Program, and/or Delirium. Those all sound cool!

    My TTT

  2. I was scrolling through your list and I was like…ok I see Anna but where is Pivot Point…then I saw it there at the end. I knew this list of yours wouldn’t be complete without it. lol

Love how you did this. I always love when people go a tad bit rogue on TTT. 😉

    My TTT is here.

  3. Ooh, such a fun list!! I really really really need to read Second Chance Summer. I’ve been dying to read it since I read and loved Amy & Roger’s Epic Detour, and I own it, but it’s just sitting on my shelf! D:

Also: love what you did with Delirium, haha. XD

  4. Wow this is a really great list! I love both, contemporary and more dystopian, sci-fi books. I’ve loved loads of these myself – Divergent and If I Stay especially. There’s also loads on here that are on my TBR list or Xmas wishlist – especially The Program, it looks amazing. My TTT.

  5. Aha! It was contemporary! I’m glad I’m the guinea pig for your post 😉 And I think you’ve already had an influence on me, because most of those books are already on my shelves waiting to be read, or are on my wish list.
