The prompt for today is to mention my top reads/reviews/posts for this year. Since Tuesday the 31st will hold my Top Ten reads for 2013 I decided to nix that and and focus on posts. It was a milestone year for me in blogging as it was my inaugural year. What started as the little blog that I thought could has turned into a blog with over 300 followers and a major about of support from family and friends. In this time I have posted over 350 updates in regards to accessories, books and clothes and I’m not close to stopping that. But there are 5 posts that mean the most to me and that I want to get all the love they deserve.
Boston You’re My Home: Love That Dirty Water
My city of Boston went through a tragedy back in April when 2 bombs went off at the finish line of the Boston Marathon. After thinking about it I decide to write a post that talked about my feelings on what happened. It was a difficult post to write and not as poetic as some I have seen, but it was mine and mine alone and I am proud of it.
Review: The Program – Suzanne Young
I worked hard on this review and it is one of my favorites I have ever written to this day. The book was fantastic and I wanted to give it justice when reviewing it. It is possibly the longest time it has taken me to review a book, but I’m proud of how it turned out. By far one of my favorite posts of the year.
Review: Allegiant – Veronica Roth
Huge, huge, huge lover of this book. To me it was the BEST series ending out of any series I have ever read. Roth made some tough choices and I completely applauded her for it. It was gutsy to do what she did and to me it was the right decision. I actually had the easiest time writing this one because I was so passionate about it and the ending of such a fantastic series.
Gift Card Spending/Michael Kors Love
This post was a fun one to write and one of the first. I’m not one to get a gift card and to spend it as soon as I get it. It doesn’t burn a hole in my pocket. I think about what I want, what I need and what will get the most use. This post explained my thought process on it and my Love for Michael Kors’ Hamilton Bag which I bought shortly after posting it.
Breathe, Annie, Breathe by Miranda Kenneally Cover Reveal
I felt like a real blogger with this one. After a year of doing this I was asked to be one of only 4 blogs that got to reveal this cover. That was something that had never happened to me and I was beyond thrilled to get the opportunity to do it. To be in that small sample out of all the bloggers out there made me feel really good and like I finally had achieved the goal I started back in January to reach all of you. Besides, the cover and the book(which I got to read very very early) were fantastic so it didn’t hurt.
