Top Ten Tuesday – Favorite Book Quotes

Posted February 25, 2014 by Andi in Top 10 Tuesday / 10 Comments

Today’s Top Ten Tuesday is to do a previous one that you may have never done. I perused the list and immediately was struck by a topic originally done September 21, 2010, Book Quotes. I love me a good book quote and thought today would be perfect to share 10 of my favorites.  What book quotes do you tend to like?

Side note: There is a quote in Open Road Summer that I adore! Since the book isn’t out I didn’t include it, but for the record, it’s in my top 5.

  1. Oh these are some fantastic quotes! I’m a total quote-a-holic and find myself constantly highlighting them as I read. One of my very favorites ever is from The Fault in Our Stars:

“Sometimes, you read a book and it fills you with this weird evangelical zeal, and you become convinced that the shattered world will never be put back together unless and until all living humans read the book.”

It’s so very true for me, especially with that particular book. Once I get a book stuck in my head like that one was (or several others I’ve read since), I want every single person I know to read it and love it as much as I do.

  2. I love seeing book quotes! They make me want to revisit some of these stories. Your quote you picked from Second Chance Summer is one of my favorites. Morgan Matson so eloquently described such an emotional and hard moment. Ahh. I really identified with that line. And I think I know which quote from Open Road Summer you’d pick 😉

  3. We chose the same topic! I absolutely adore the quotes you picked. And the graphics are so pretty! What I love about quotes is that I think they say a lot about the person who picks them, like a lot of my favorites revolve around individuality and hope and love because those are important to me.

Oh my gosh, that one from Second Chance Summer? I haven’t read the book but it made me so weepy! If nothing else, I’m at least going to check out that book now, haha
