Top Ten Tuesday – Most Unique Books I’ve Read

Posted April 8, 2014 by Andi in Top 10 Tuesday / 0 Comments

I had a hard time with today’s Top Ten Tuesday as I couldn’t think of unique books right away. But then as I started to think more and more I realized that I have read some books that were either written in a style I have never read before(After the Kiss) or about things I’m not familiar with(The Chosen One, Small Town Sinners, Pure) or about topics that are hard to get out there for young adult books(Dirty Little Secrets, Something Like Normal, Hate List, Want to Go Private?) or a twisted retelling(Dorothy Must Die) or even having an emotion taken away from you(Delirium). All of these books were a new kind of experience for me and therefore unique to my reading situation. What kind of books are unique to you?

  1. Great list šŸ™‚ I didn’t even think to include Hate List but I LOVED that book. It was a really great story but I think I have read other school shooting books that were similar (Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult comes to mind.) My TTT.

  2. Small Town Sinners was definitely new territory for me. It was incredibly hard to get through because I’m so strongly opposed to a lot of the things in that book, but it was beautifully crafted to be written from that perspective. I was so surprised by how much I liked it (even though I hated it). I hope that makes sense!
