Top Ten Tuesday – Books that Should be in your Beach Bag

Posted June 3, 2014 by Andi in Top 10 Tuesday / 0 Comments

Beach bag…one of my favorite phrases. Although I prefer a pool to the beach as there is no sand that gets stuck in awkward places. But beach, pool, both mean one thing. They mean summer! For today’s Top Ten Tuesday I listed books that I think should be in your bag this summer where you are at the pool or on the beach. Some take place in the summer, some just make you feel good as a summer read should. I have personally read every single one of these (some more than once) and I would do it again in a heart beat. So tell me, what should I have in my bag that I’m missing? And what is in your beach bag?

  1. How cute are those graphics?! Also, I’d really like to be on that beach right now. So, I’m thinking TWENTY BOY SUMMER needs to be added to my reading pile this summer. I will look for it next time I’m at a used book shop!

  2. I’ve been slacking on making pretty graphics for my Top Ten Tuesdays and yours just make me want to grab a beach chair and head to the beach! You have some great titles on your list and I agree they’d all look perfect in someone beach bag this summer!!

    My TTT is here.

  3. I love your graphics; they are so fun 🙂 I recently finished Since You’ve Been Gone, and I have to agree with you, it’s the perfect beach read! I have been planning to read quite a few of these, like Open Road Summer and Anna and the French Kiss, so hopefully I can get to them this summer!

  4. I still haven’t read Twenty Boy Summer, Two Way Street or Catching Jordan – ugh, I need to get on those.

I haven’t been doing TTTs, but I need to start again – too much crazy with my house!

I’m very curious to see if you’d like one of my faves, The Cinderella Society by Kay Cassidy – I didn’t read it at a beach, but outside during summer lunches. It’s really fun…

  5. Heyyy for once I recognize 6/10, and I’ve actually read 3 of them! But I own two more so really I think I should get at least a 50% grade for effort 😉 I believe you’ve accomplished a miracle with me Andi!
