That’s right guys, Isla and the Happily Ever After is almost here! Less than a short month away and we can all enjoy the spoils of Stephanie Perkin’s newest melt inducing story of Isla Martin and her long time crush Josh Wasserstein. But before we get to Isla we think it is only fair to reacquaint ourselves with the two lovely ladies that made us fall in love with Ms. Perkins to being with; Anna Oliphant and Lola Nolan. Myself, Jamie at The Perpetual Page Turner, Judith as Paper Riot, Meg at The Cuddlebuggery (she made the gorgeous banner!) and Lindsey at The Kid: A Book Devotee all got together and created Isla is Coming: a Happily Ever After readalong.

Basically the readalong is going to run from July 31 to August 20 with a lot of fun posts from different bloggers, some giveaways and of course the actual rereads bringing us to the August 14th release date of Isla and the Happily Ever After. It is going to play like a blog tour almost and I’m really excited to take part in it. Judith will kick things off on the 31st with the Anna and the French Kiss readalong with Meg picking it up on August 7th to show Lola and the Boy Next Door some love, bringing us to Jamie who will be running the readalong for Isla and the Happily Ever After which kicks off on release date, August 14th (which so happens to be the day after my birthday. :-)). A full schedule of who’s blog will be having what will be available at a later date, but for now here is an outline for the schedule.

I don’t know about you guys, but I am pumped for this and the chance to reread what made me love reading to start. We will be using the awesome phrase #IslaIsComing on Twitter so you will be able to follow along and read the feels. It will be read number 9 for Anna and the French Kiss, 3 for Lola and the Boy Next Door and 2 for Isla and the Happily Ever After and I have never been more excited. For those of you that have never read the books before, now if your chance. Buy those copies, borrow from friends, go to your local library. Trust me, you DO NOT want to miss these. They are books that just make you feel good about life and yourself. And for those that have read them? Now is your chance to fall in love all over again.

Feel free to grab the button to post on your blog to spread the word. Just give the fab Meg credit.

  2. […] Isla is Coming: A Happily Ever After Readalong ā€“ Guys, you know my love of all things Anna and the French Kiss. When Isla finally came out last year I was lucky to be able to take part in a group of bloggers that were promoting the book in our own special way. Not only that but we also were able to find people will to donate to the cause with giveaway prizes at their own expense. It was truly a remarkable experience. […]
