Welcome to the revamped ABCs.  In the past I have used this weekly Wednesday post as a link up but times are a changing. I’m switching things up as you have learned HERE.

Today we have the adorable Sarah sharing with us the accessories, books and clothes she is lusting after.

Now let’s give a warm ABCers welcome to the fabulous Sarah!

Ahhhh First blog post. So much pressure! First, I want to thank Andi for handing over the reins for a day and trusting me with your baby. I hope I don’t let you down. Let’s get down to the nitty gritty! 🙂

Accessory:
Posy Necklace – J Crew
I splurged on this baby a couple weeks ago on vacation. I used to work for J.Crew and have a ton of their jewelry, but the last year and a half or so, their stuff hasn’t been floating my boat. It’s either too heavy or busy. I’m also not a fan of cloth chains that have been a big trend as of late. When I walked into J.Crew and saw this necklace in the case, I HAD to have it. The hot pink, pastel pink, and cobalt accents are so rich and lovely together. It’s also super lightweight! I’ve worn it a lot already. It also comes as a bracelet in case the necklace is a bit much.

Book:
Lead: A Stage Dive Novel by Kylie Scott
Let me get it out of the way right now.…..I LOVED this book. (Thank you to Gail for the recommendation!) I’ve enjoyed the Stage Dive series up to this point (the first book has a quickie Vegas wedding!!! –HELLO!) but Lead in particular REALLY got to me. Jimmy, Stage Dive’s front man, is a recovering addict trying to get his life back and mend broken relationships with his brother and fellow bandmates. Floundering due to the betrayal of her family and not expecting a long term career, Lena is hired as Jimmy’s live-in sober companion/assistant. When I read Lead, I devoured it. What’s funny is I was looking forward to this book the least. In the first two books which featured David and Mal, Jimmy was just an angry mess who treated his loved ones terribly. I had ZERO interest in reading his love story. I was just going to read it to stay on top of the series, but it wasn’t going to be a high priority. After I downloaded it, I couldn’t read it fast enough! Lena is strong, feisty, dedicated, and a little bit awkward. Jimmy is so very tortured and conflicted. He’s not your typical romance novel leading man. His progress in Lead is one step forward, two steps back. Every time I thought it was finally their moment, there was even more angst! ANGST! Despite all the sadness, Jimmy and Lena brought the cuteness too (cue Lena’s awkwardness.) I loved their morning jogs, door drama, and late night TV binges. The progression from boss/assistant, to friends, and eventually lovers was seamless. I’ve read Lead 3 times already, and will easily read it a fourth while I anxiously wait for Ben’s (Stage Dive’s bassist) story! J

Clothes:
Sunrise Heart Savasana Moonbeam
I’m not a workout freak by any means, but I do go to the gym at least twice a week and run on the weekends. I literally stumbled upon this brand outside the Bloomingdale’s windows and fell in love! I’m always looking for new workout gear, and am a sucker for anything beach, island, or palm tree themed (hence my username) which is why I chose this tee over Spiritual Gangster’s other logo gear.

Well, that wraps up my first blog post. Thanks for hanging in there, and thanks again to Andi for allowing me to guest blog on Andi’s ABCs. I’m always looking for romance/YA recommendations, so please feel free to share. Thanks again. 🙂
