Today is my turn to contribute to the fabulous feature, the brain child of Brittany at The Book Addict’s Guide, where myself, Brittany, Estelle at Rather Be Reading and Maggie at Just a Couple More Pages are paring books and beer. Pretty perfect for a bunch of beer and book lovers if you ask me.

Today, my turn for Pub Date was a no brainer to me when I saw the theme of Fall. Fall says two things to me so it was that simple.
The Beer
Sam Adam’s Cherry Wheat. It is probably one of my most favorite of beers. Actually it might be the beer that got me to try other beers. This beer is obviously a wheat beer, hence the title. It has cherry and honey flavors to it but it isn’t over powering. It actually is pretty light in my opinion. It does have a higher alcohol content than some others I like at 5.3%, but it is one of those beers that you drink slow and don’t gulp down so it works for it. And unlike some other Sam Adam’s beers, this one is available year round. Other Sam Adams beers I like: Sam Adams Blackberry Witbier, Sam Adams OctoberFest
The Book
Catching Jordan. What screams Fall more than Football???? And what screams Football more than Catching Jordan??? I think you are catching my drift. Plus Catching Jordan (review) is such a great book. It has great characters and a great girl power kind of story since Jordan is awesome and a QB on her high school football team. If you haven’t read it Fall is the perfect time to pick it up.

EXCELLENT. I actually don’t know if I’ve had their cherry wheat! The cherry beers I’ve had have always been cherry chocolate bocks and ughhhhh too much heavy flavor! But I imagine cherry wheat would be quite delightful!
SOMEDAY I will read Miranda Kenneally’s books. I really will!!
I’ve seen cherry wheat beers in the store & have wanted to try them. In fact, I think it’s the Sam Adams that I tend to see most often. I keep thinking it will have a cherry taste though… but does it? ha
