Welcome to the revamped ABCs.  In the past I have used this weekly Wednesday post as a link up but times are a changing. I’m switching things up as you have learned HERE.

Today we have Erica, one of the lovely people at Bloomsbury, sharing with us the accessories, books and clothes she is lusting after.

Now let’s give a warm ABCers welcome to Erica!

I’m so excited to be doing an ABCs post! My accessory and my book were pretty easy for me to pick since they’re both things I’ve been wanting for a while, but clothing was a bit harder! If I worked from home I would just wear jeans and a sweatshirt every day in the fall, but that’s not an option, even in a relatively casual industry like publishing. So I’m always trying to expand my wardrobe beyond the things that I want into the things that I NEED.

AccessoryCatbird for J.Crew 14k gold lovecat ring
My biggest weakness when it comes to purchases is items with cats on them. Shirts, bags, socks, shoes–it doesn’t matter. If it has a cat on it, I’ll probably want it. Until recently, I didn’t even have a cat, which made this obsession a little sad. But now that Mittens has entered my life, I can go full cat lady–even in my jewelry. This stacking ring, from a collaboration between J.Crew and a local Brooklyn shop, would fit perfectly between the two stacked raw diamond rings that make up my wedding ring, and would perfectly represent the new addition to our family.

BookEmmy & Oliver by Robin Benway
When you work in publishing, you often develop relationships with your authors that go beyond work and into friendship. Or at least I do. And one of the coolest friends I’ve made is Robin Benway, author of the Also Known As series and Audrey, Wait! Her next book, Emmy & Oliver, isn’t being published by the company I work for, but I’m still so psyched to read it and support Robin.

ClothesCamille Sweater Dress
Summer dresses are so easy (and often so cheap) but I always struggle to find dresses to wear when it’s cold enough that I’d rather be in something loose and fuzzy. Brooklyn Industries is one of my favorite stores because their women’s clothing isn’t overly frilly or girly and neither am I, so I should have known they would have something that would draw me in instantly.
