Welcome to the revamped ABCs.  In the past I have used this weekly Wednesday post as a link up but times are a changing. I’m switching things up as you have learned HERE.

Today we have the awesome Ksenia, one of the wonderful Publicist at Macmillan Children’s Publishing Group, sharing with us the accessories, books and clothes she is lusting after.

Now let’s give a warm ABCers welcome to Ksenia!

Hello everyone! I’m so excited to be taking part in The ABCs! I tried really hard to go with some sort of theme but in the end, I ended up with just being eclectic! Squirrels, nuns, and Paris abound!

Accessory: Teeny Tiny Silver Woodland Squirrel Necklace from Etsy
If you are to know any one weird thing about me, it is this: I have a strange, yet fond, affinity for squirrels. Some of you might already know this. Yes, I know they might as well be considered rodents and nuisances to some folks, but for whatever reason, I just find them just so darn cute. I came across this necklace on Etsy last year and have been wishing for it ever since. It’s simple, yet adorable. This Etsy store is full of wonderful necklaces, including an Auryn (from The NeverEnding Story)! Also, the owners have one heck of an awesome Polish last name! Bonus points! 🙂

Book: Nunslinger: The Complete Series by Stark Holborn
A nun… who is an outlaw? Sign. Me. Up! I am all for women kicking butt and taking names, in any medium: books, comics, movies, etc. It’s a weakness. A bad-ass weakness, am I right? Being entrenched in kids’ and YA 24/7 is absolutely marvelous, but I am always on the lookout for weird and unique adult books as well. And this story just sounds so bizarre, in such a good way, because based off the description alone, I can picture it being made into one of those grindhouse movies! If this doesn’t show up under the tree at Christmas this year, I might just treat myself in the New Year!

Clothing: Greeting Postcard Dress in Stationery from Modcloth
Past-Ksenia would be appalled at Present-Day Ksenia. A dress? Yuck! I hated dresses and skirts growing up. To this day, my mom remembers the struggle when she forced me into a dress for a special occasion. We laugh at it now, of course. It wasn’t until after I graduated college that I slowly started to wear skirts on a regular basis, and then a few years ago I started to buy more and more dresses. My mother is shocked anytime I buy one now. As for this dress, this speaks to the wanderlust in me. I’ve been to Paris several times and it is one of my favorite places. I love the warm colors and tones on the dress, and it looks like a great dress for Fall and Summer, if you were to pair it with a nice cardigan or cute jacket. I hope Modcloth stocks this dress again.

While I can’t share the squirrel love, that is a super cute dress. I also spent a lot of time not wearing dresses (and am making up for lost time now by buying lots!

  3. The squirrel is CUTE! But OMG AN AUYRN? I think I need one… Etsy is great for things you never knew you needed haha! LOVE that dress too. I was the same — haaaaated dresses (well, I still kind of do) but they’re growing on me! If I actually found cute ones that fit me well, I would definitely buy more too! 😀
How fun! Loved learning a little more about the lovely Ksenia!

  4. I love squirrels too! This necklace is so adorable. I love shopping on Etsy because I always find something unique. Also…that book?! Haha I’m definitely going to have to check it out. Also I’ve been drooling over Modcloth for almost 3 years now and I’m in desperate need to buy something from them. This Pairs dress is gorgeous. Thanks for sharing!! It was such a fun post 🙂

  5. I’m just a little bit obsessed with that dress! It looks super, super cute. Then again, there are a million and one dresses that I want from Modcloth, the website of adorable dresses 😉 Also – squirrels! My husband is still fonder of them than I am, but I think they can be cute.
