If you read my post from yesterday you can see what kind of snow nightmare I have been in. I was out of work for 3 days this week thanks to the snow, and have had a total of 6 snow days. This week was the worst though as we have officially run out of places to put the snow and I didn’t have any beer other than Bud Light and Cranberry Ginger Shandy in my fridge to do my Pub Date post. So I’m about to get creative. I’m not giving you a book I love or my beer Valentine. I’m giving you a break-up…a break-up with snow.
Boston.com has put the feelings of my city down pretty accurately HERE and I am seconding their thoughts. I am breaking up with winter. I am over the boots, hats, coats, gloves, scarves. I’m over wearing 2 outfits at a time so I’m warm on my commute to work. I’m finished with shovels and rock salt and snow blowers and plows. I’m done with not getting my mail and the PO holding my books hostage. I’m done with the cold and the ice and the sleet and the gross slush. I’m done WINTER. We are over and I’m not sorry about it. I have 2 things waiting for me around the corner and you can’t stop them from getting to me forever!

Hahaha I love it. I’m sorry you are sooooo inundated with snow! I do love snow but that’s a LOT and hello, cabin fever!
I love Summer Shandy! It’s so refreshing in the summer and there’s nothing better on a hot summer day!
I just love the fact that you used the In Summer song in this post. It’s the best thing ever! I really hope the weather takes a turn for the better, and that warmer weather starts coming our way. NO TO MORE SNOW!
I know we haven’t had it quite as bad as you guys but I’m over being a snowman and carrying extra shoes to work and just always feel like I’m bumping to everyone on mass transit. Here’s hoping you have a nice beer this weekend. xoxo
