There is nothing I love more in a book then a strong heroine. Years ago I feel like you could only find strong male leads in books, minus a few here and there, but things have changed. Now strong females are playing the hero left and right and I love it. They are putting their hearts, minds, and even their bodies on the line for what they believe in and saving something else in the process. The best part of this post was narrowing down my 10 favorite heroines which is AWESOME. Who is your favorite heroine?
Divergent/The Orphan Queen/Loop/Scarlet/The Winner’s Curse/Throne of Glass/Graceling/A Court of Thorns and Roses/Quintana of Charyn/The Hunger Games

I love Katsa and Feyre too!
I cannot wait to meet Feyre!! You’ve got some great choices here! 🙂
I can’t wait to read The Orphan Queen!!!! It’ll be here in two weeks and I can finally understand how great she is. I love your list. 🙂
HOORAY for Sarah J. Maas’ gals! They’re amazing. I just love everything about them.
Katniss will always be a favorite of mine. She’s a big reason why I got into YA!
Love Katsa & Kestrel and so many more ladies I still need to meet!!!
I spy some ladies in common from both of our lists! I reallllly need to meet Quintana don’t I?
Katniss is definitely one of my faves… which is probably obvious from my blog’s name. 🙂
Nice choices! Love the inclusion of Quintana – I could have probably chosen every female Melina Marchetta character, truth be told. Can’t wait to read the Orphan Queen and ACOTAR!
Excellent heroine choices, Andi! I have to say that I’m going to have to agree with you 100% on all of them being awesome and kickass gals!
