Along with my Goodreads Challenge (you can find my progress on the side bar) I also challenged myself to 2 other challenges for 2015. Every month I will check in with my challenge updates.
Back in December I signed up for The Re-Read Challenge hosted by Belle of the Literati and So Obsessed With. Honestly I didn’t expect this to be a problem and so far it hasn’t. I’m on track to reach my goal of 12-14 books without a hitch. My March reads:
Title: Breathe, Annie, Breathe
Author: Miranda Kenneally
Date Reread: March 16, 2015 – March 18, 2015
Type: Audio
This was my 3rd time reading this book, 4th if you count my BETA read. It was just as good this time around and on audio. The narrator really got the right vibe for Annie and her story. And I fell in love with Jeremiah all over again. So happy I picked this one.

Title: My Life Next Door
Author: Huntley Fitzpatrick
Date Reread: March 24, 2015 – March 26, 2015
Type: Audio
It has been a LONG time since I read this book so with the new companion story about Tim (The Boy Most Likely To) coming out soon I requested this from the library. It is so nice to be reaquinated with the Garretts again and to swoon all over Jase some more. Just as good as I remembered.

I also committed the the Flights of Fantasy challenge run by Alexa Love Books and Hello, Chelly. As you may have heard, I am new to the fantasy genre (thank you Sarah J. Maas and Throne of Glass for this!) and I thought it would be good for me to challenge myself with this one. I have decided to do 12 so I only have to read 1 a month. My March fantasy reads:
Title: These Broken Stars
Author: Amie Kaufman, Meagan Spooner
Date Reread: March 2, 2015 – March 4, 2015
Type: Audio
I took a chance on this one. It was the first time I listened to an audio without reading the book first. I wasn’t sold on the story sadly. I loved the narrators and the characters, but the story and the setting just weren’t for me.
A review will be posted at some point, but I will say I’m happy I tried it.
Title: The Heart of Betrayal
Author: Mary E. Pearson
Date Reread: March 5, 2015 – March 12, 2015
Type: Paperback ARC
I put off reading this because no book with heart AND betrayal in the title can go anywhere good. And you know what, I was partly right. Although this book was EXCELLENT, the end KILLED me and made me want book 3 like now.
Review to come.
Title: The Girl of Fire and Thorns
Author: Rae Carson
Date Reread: March 4, 2015 – March 14, 2015
Type: Audio/Kindle
I started this one on audio while reading Heart of Betrayal and had to stop because I was confusing them. After stopping I switched to the Kindle version. It was a great start to the series. I’m excited to see where the story goes in the next two books.
Review to come.
Title: Snow Like Ashes
Author: Sara Raasch
Date Reread: March 19, 2015 – March 22, 2015
Type: Hardcover
This was the first book selected for me for my Spring TBR list and I was happy it was. A little light on the romance, but a great story that I really enjoyed. Loved the characters and the setting, and the story, although I would personally be happy in my real life if Spring destroyed Winter. I can’t wait for the next book to find out just what happens next.
Review to come.
Apparently in March I made up for no fantasy reads in February. Not sure what April will have in store for me.
So there you have it, but March check-in. How did you do on your challenges so far?
These books!!!! MLND needs a re-read from me, for sure, and I just pre-ordered my paperback of Breathe this week. 🙂 I’m sad you didn’t love These Broken Stars 🙁 But glad you gave it a chance.
Hope you love the rest of Fire & Thorns!
I love how you totally kicked butt at reading fantasies last month, Andi! You’ve even read some of my personal favorites, which makes me so, so, SO happy <3
