I was tagged by the lovely Brittany from The Book Addicts Guide to take part in the Friends Book Tag created by Nick from Nick’s Book Blog and Nereyda from Mostly YA Book Obsessed As a huge fan of Friends I couldn’t pass this up.
THE ONE WHERE EDDIE WON’T GO
a character we wish would go away
Realm…yuck! I hated his character so so much and all I wanted was for him to go away and NEVER come back. He still annoys me even just thinking about him. GO HOME EDDIE!
THE ONE WHERE ROSS AND RACHEL WERE ON A BREAK
most painful breakup
I would say spoiler alert but in almost every book there is a break-up of some sort. It is a troupe used to add drama. Sometimes though they are more painful than other times. The Sea of Tranquility? CRUSHED ME!
THE ONE WTH ALL THE KISSING
favorite kiss scene or book with a lot of kissing
The one thing New Adult books have a lot of in them is kissing! And The Deal definitely lives up to that. There is a ton of kissing in this book and I loved it!
THE LAST ONE
our favorite ‘end of series’ book
I know where I fall in with this book, I am in the minority. I thought Allegiant was the PERFECT ending for the Divergent series. Don’t get me wrong, I understand the frustration of the middle and all the science talk, but it just worked for me. Honestly I loved everything about this book.
THE ONE WITH THE BLACKOUT
a moment in a book we wish we could forget or never happened
There is one moment in A Court of Thorns and Roses that worries me for the rest of the series and my couple I ship. I can’t say what that moment was as I don’t want to spoil anything but I really wish I could forget it or that it never happened.
THE ONE WHERE CHANDLER CAN’T CRY
a book that didn’t affect us emotionally like it did other readers
I liked Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda. I really, truly did. But I didn’t love it. Everyone seemed to be really emotionally invested in Simon’s story and I just couldn’t find that love/connection. I thought the story was good but I thought it was missing something to get me to the level of everyone else.
THE ONE WHERE JOEY DOESN’T SHARE FOOD
a book we won’t share
(isn’t a title but whatever)**
Okay so like that fact that “The One Where Joey Doesn’t Share Food” isn’t a title, this isn;t 100% true that I don’t share these books. I do. I really do. But I don’t share certain ones. I have copies I loan out but only certain ones. Like NO ONE is getting their hands on my signed Anna, but I will lend them a different version. I’m crazy like that.
THE ONE WITH THE THUMB
a book you would give two thumbs up to
This series! Oh this series. Admittedly I didn’t love Finnickin of the Rock as much, but as a whole the Lumatere Chronicles are just a sold trilogy of fantasy. Just so amazing. They get all the thumbs up!
THE ONE WITH THE ICK FACTOR
a book pet peeve or a book that has a pet peeve
The epilogue. I hate epilogues. I always tell myself that I won’t read them and then I read them and I’m undoubtedly disappointed. Come Back to Me doesn’t have the worst epilogue, but it is the most recent one I have read. ICK.
THE ONE WITH THE LESBIAN WEDDING
a favorite book with an LGBTQ couple
This book is addictive crack! I was just reading the first page to see what the voice was like. Before I knew it it was 11:30pm and I was 50% done and had to force myself to stop so I could sleep. Wes and Jamie are YUMMY!
I tag Ginger, Gail, Danielle, Jess and Lauren.
HOW FUNNNNN!! Friends is my favorite so I can’t wait to do this! Thanks for tagging me!
I’ve only read ACOTAR and Anna out of your picks. YES to the ACOTAR one, and DUH to the Anna one. haha 😀
I’m excited to read HIM! I keep hearing great things. And yes, the break up in The Sea of Tranquility was PAINFUL.
Thank you for tagging me! I don’t really watch friends but I’m excited to do this. 😀
THE SEA OF TRANQUILITY. That book killed me. I really, really need to re-read that one sometime soon. I’ve been saying it for years!
Yay, I’m so excited to see more people do this! Always great to see more Friends/Book fans 🙂
