Today’s Top Ten Tuesday was pretty simple. I recently went to ALA-MW and picked up a bunch of books I haven’t heard of but sounded good so that covered 8 of the newest additions to my TBR (I got like 32 books total). And the other 2 were books I should have added sooner and hadn’t. All sound equally fantastic, even the one that doesn’t have a description.
You Know Me Well – Nina LaCour & David Levithan I love Nina LaCour books and I love the sound of this one. It should have been on my radar before but for some reason I missed it.
The Goal – Elle Kennedy: There is no description but this is the 4th book in the “Off Campus” series and is supposed to be about Tucker. I needs it!
A Walk in the Sun – Michelle Zink: I was told at ALA that I needed this book so I took this book.I have never read a Michelle Zink book so I figured why not.
The Secret Language of Sister – Luanne Rice: I’m not sure when or how this ended up in my ALA pile but it did and I can’t say I’m sorry. I love stories about sisters and accidents that happen that leaves one “behind”.
Two Summer – Aimee Friedman: The friend I was with knew Aimee and was asking for her book so I got one too. I hadn’t heard of it before but I’m really excited for it. Aimee was sweet and even signed my copy. The back mentions parallel worlds so I was sold at parallel.
Hurricane Kiss – Deborah Blumenthal: One of my ALA roomies was determined to get this book. Since we tend to like some of the same stuff I followed her lead and grabbed one. I love that they are stuck in an abandoned high school. This looks like a good one.
Highly Illogical Behavior – John Corey Whaley: I was with Ginger when she waited in line for this one (the only line, minus the free champagne line, that I waited in for a book) and she couldn’t say enough good things about the author. I have never read anything by him so I’m looking forward to it.
Listen to Me – Kristen Proby: Not gonna lie, no idea what this book is even about. Friend said you may like this, I said okay and added it to my TBR. Looks like it involves music and romance so I’m in.
The Memory Book – Lara Avery: When I was wandering ALA on the Sunday I came across this book. I had read Lara Avery’s debut and enjoyed and I loved the sound of this one. It was a no brainer to take a copy.
Future Shock – Elizabeth Briggs: I got this book purely because Karen Akins told me to. She said I should get a copy so I got a copy. I even got to met the author and get it signed. Come to find out her and Karen are critic partners so even better. Plus Karen knows I love my time travel stories.
What have you added to your TBR recently?
