I checked in last in May with the cards and crafty things I have been making. Honestly I have no idea if you guys care to see these but I feel the need to share anyway because it is my blog and I can. HA. Actually I feel the need to share because I love making cards and other things I hope to inspire you to try too.
Anyway since then I have made another handful of cards for various reasons and made some embellishments for a swap. Here are my recent-ish cards:
Sarah got this very late but she did get it. I must admit the envelope was what this whole card was based on because Sarah LOVES that paper. I really need to find more of that pretty ribbon.
I did a card swap on Facebook with a craft group and they had to be generic cards that weren’t specific for any occasion. I loved this one because it opens from the bottom up.
Card 2 for the swap. This one I got the idea on Pinterest and then used my new favorite washi to make it come to life. Inside there is a piece of pink card stock and a gold heart.
Card 3 for the swap was another Pinterest inspiration. I also tried playing with my stamps. It isn’t my favorite (I’m still looking for the perfect ink) but I like how the colors combine.
The final card for the swap was made with one design’s products from different collection. The great thing is that they are all designed to work together so it was perfect. I’m kind of in love with the envelopes that I made for this one. The pink paint splatter print had perfect placement and that was completely by accident.
Kiki had a birthday in June and once again the card got out late…oops. But I really loved this one too. I made it using the same fringe technique as above but did it in more Kiki appropriate colors.
Finally this was made for Lauren (who I hope got it by now) after she won a handmade card giveaway I hosted. I was so excited to use my new rose punch on this and the envelope print is a favorite!
I also signed up for an embellishment swap on the same Facebook group. I used some of my ephemera and scrap paper and made these 5:
And there you have it, my recent creations.
Do you want to keep seeing these? Let me know in the comments. My next creations are going to be postcards.
