If you know me you know I love to push books I have on people. If I read it and become obsessed with it I think you need to read it and become obsessed with it too. I’m done this with Lauren Miller’s Parallel, Colleen Clayton’s What Happens Next, Natalie Blitt’s The Distance from A to Z, and more recently Sarvenaz Tash’s The Geek’s Guide to Unrequited Love. What’s next on my book pushing list? Kind of you to ask. It is actually a little book I finished this weekend that is out in November.

From New York Times bestselling author Suzanne Young comes a heartrending new novel about a girl struggling to deal with anger issues while taking care of her younger brother with special needs.
“Anger-management issues.”
That’s how they classified Savannah Sutton after she stuck a pencil in her ex-boyfriend’s hand because he mocked her little brother, Evan, for being disabled. That’s why they sent her to Brooks Academy—an alternative high school that’s used as a temporary detention center.
The days at Brooks are miserable, but at home, life is far more bleak. Savvy’s struggling to take care of her brother since her mom left years ago, and her alcoholic dad can’t be bothered. Life with Evan is a constant challenge, but he’s also the most important person in the world to Savvy. Then there’s Cameron, a new student at Brooks with issues of his own; a guy from a perfect family that Savvy thought only existed on TV. Cameron seems determined to break through every one of the walls Savvy’s built around herself, except if she lets herself trust him, it could make everything she’s worked so hard for fall apart in an instant.
And with her aunt seeking custody of her brother and her ex-boyfriend seeking revenge, Savvy’s fighting to hold all the pieces together. But she’s not sure how much tighter she can be pulled before she breaks completely.
No joke when I tell you guys you need to add this to your TBR.
I am a proud lover of Suzanne’s series The Program (1, 2, 3, 4). I loved the story and the characters and the work she did with the prequels and I can’t wait to read the next book in the story. But when I tell you All in Pieces is some of Suzanne’s best work I’m not kidding you. This book was just everything. I go into more detail in my review (which will be posted closer to release), but it is simply breathtaking. Every part of the story had my heart in a grip and I never wanted it to end. I wanted more words, more story, more of these fantastic characters. Rarely do I read a book where I actually forget I’m reading a book, and this was one of those rare times.
So yes, I’m doing my “Book Pusher” thing and tell you to add this one to your TBR. You won’t be disappointed. I wasn’t.
What books to your tend to push on people?
I’ve never read a Suzanne Young book yet (I know, I know), but this sounds very intriguing! I just added it to one of my Goodreads shelves so that I remember to check it out.
I like to be book pushed, so thanks for putting this on my radar… also you get what kind of books I’m into!
