Along with my Goodreads Challenge (you can find my progress on the side bar) I also challenged myself to 3 other challenges for 2016. Every month I will check in with my challenge updates.

Love at First Page and Gone with the Words 2016 Contemporary Romance Reading Challenge. You can find out all the details you need to know HERE. There are different levels to this challenge and I decided to go for the grand slam level.

Title: The Only Thing Worse Than Me Is You
Author: Lily Anderson
Dates Read: December 5 – 10

Thoughts: I really enjoyed this one. It was suggested to me and I had a great time with it. I reviewed it HERE. My one complaint is that title. Man is it a tongue twister.

Title: Hard Hitter
Author: Sarina Bowen
Dates Read: December 12 – 15

Thoughts: I loved this one so much more than the first in the series. I wasn’t sure what I would think since Rookie Move was kind of a disappointment, but these two had such good chemistry and everything felt natural between them. See my review HERE.

Title: Alex, Approximately
Author: Jenn Bennett
Dates Read: December 15 – 20

Thoughts: SWOON, SWOON, SWOON. I seriously loved this book. Porter is so adorable I couldn’t help but fall for him. And I loved the story. Review is a long ways off, but if this isn’t on your TBR, ADD IT.

Title: Fireworks
Author: Katie Cotugno
Dates Read: December 21 – 27

Thoughts: This is Katie Cotugno’s best book IMO. The friendship, the romance, the setting, the tome frame? It all just worked for me. I seriously loved everything about this book. Review to come sometime next year.

So I guess I read 4 more romances in December. NAILED IT!

I  finished this challenge of strong. I read 37 books. Which makes me a:

GRAND SLAM

Well done to anyone that even attempted it!

And if you missed the news, I am the new host for the 2017 Contemporary Romance Reading Challenge. Danielle and Jess have passed the reigns on to me. You can sign-up HERE. And feel free to grab the button and post it on your blog.

ROCK-1

Sarah at The YA Book Traveler is hosting Rock My TBR challenge. It is no secret that as book bloggers we have a lot of books that don’t get read. We get busy or getting something new and shiny (we are an easily distracted bunch) and things we were excited about reading don’t actually get read. This is my chance to change that and to read some of the books that have been collecting dust since before I was blogging. You can find more information HERE

I did not ROCK MY TBR this month. OOPS

So I failed at Rocking MY TBR. I read 4. I mean well, I really do, but I get easily distracted by new shiny books. Sorry TBR. I still love you.

Lauren from Bookmark Lit is hosting The Must Read in 2016 “Challenge”. This challenge isn’t really a challenge per say. More a way to push yourself to read some books you were excited about in 2015 that you just never got to. Find out more HERE. This challenge will over lap a lot with Rock My TBR. Because of that I am just going to post a picture of what I read in the month from my original post:

june

I also totally sucked at this challenge. I tried but See Rock My TBR. New shiny gets me everytime. Oh well, 4 ain’t too bad. :-).

How did you do in your December Challenges? How did you do for the year?
