As you have heard last week was the last “official” week for my weekly feature, The ABCs. Since then I have been trying to think of something that will be fun and can replace it. Yesterday on Twitter I mentioned an idea I had for a feature called “What I Love About…”. From that idea a new idea was born and I actually like this one a little better. Welcome to the introduction for Book a Date!
What is Book a Date?
Book a Date will be a weekly feature where you can sign up and post about something you are excited for that is releasing in the future. It can be a TV show, a movie (in the theater or out on DVD), a clothing line, a video game, a graphic novel, and of course a book. Actually it can be anything you want. You can sign up and talk about a vacation you took and think other people should plan. It is kind of an anything goes type of post and a way for you to get things you are excited for on other people’s radar.
Do I have to be a blogger?
No. Anyone is welcome to sign up. You can be an author, a publicists, a reader, a fashion lover, a comic nerd… Everyone is welcome to sign-up and take part in Book a Date.
What will I have to do?
Basically it will work similar to The ABCs. You will sign-up and I will email you your post date. I usually send out emails a week in advance but I will try to be better about it for this post and give you two weeks. Once you get your email from me you will write your post (preferably in HTML to make my life easier) and send it back by your given deadline. The email will include more detail, but that is essentially it.
When does it start?
Next week. I will do the first Book a Date next Wednesday. Hopefully some of you will sign up so we can keep this rolling. Guess time will tell.
