Hey, y’all! I’m Maggie and I’m so thrilled to be a part of Andi’s Book a Date feature! Of course there are always books and definitely TV shows coming up that I’m dying to get my eyes on, but as I thought about what I’m MOST looking forward to, I kept returning to one particular event.
My husband and I are major Phish fans. Phish is a jam band with extremely talented musicians and super creative songs. The lead singer and guitarist, Trey Anastasio, is playing with the Nashville Symphony in September and we have tickets!
I cannot explain how excited I am about this concert! I have only seen Trey play with the full band in concert, but I’ve listened to a show he played solo with another symphony and it is just unbelievable – it’s SO good and I love hearing Phish’s jammy songs accompanied by violins and other classical instruments.
My husband is counting on Trey and the symphony playing his favorite Phish song ever, The Divided Sky; it would sound amazing in classical form. Not only am I excited about seeing Trey, I’m really looking forward to doing something different – going to the symphony!
I will leave y’all with a song played by Trey with Princeton’s Scorchio Quartet in 2010. P.S. I adore this song!
Hurry up, September!
Thank you so much for having me, Andi! 😀
