What started as an experiment on finding a reading system that works for me has turned into me once again falling in love with a TBR List. For 8 months in 2019 I created a TBR List and read books off of those lists. Some months I was successful and didn’t deviate and some months I had to add books or take books away. All in all though I really enjoyed having a structured list to go off of so I’m sticking with it in 2020.
It is safe to say ARC August was a success. I read 14 books for the month and 12 of those were ARCs. I did sway from my TBR a little but I was approved for two highly anticipated books so there was no waiting on those gems. There was also an incident where I accidentally read the right author but the wrong book from my TBR list. And that one pesky DNF, only my second of the year. All in all a really good reading month. In truth it has been a few good reading months as you can see from this post.

September is going to be another interesting month of reading. I have mixed this month’s list with some older ARCS, newer ARCs and books that I have been hearing great things about. I have no idea how it is going to go reading wise as every month is a mystery but I’m hopeful to knock a chunk of these off my TBR.
What do you do for a monthly TBR? Do you stick to a list or wing it? Are you participating in ARC August?

Im trash at TBRs. I only schedule ARCs that are due. Is ACOMAF a reread? I’ve heard good things about Today, Tonight, Tomorrow
ACOMAF is a reread. I have read it 3 or 4 times previously. It is my favorite of the series. I love it so so much! And Today, Tonight, Tomorrow was a YA delight. One of those books that reminds you why you read YA.
I definitely have a list based on how many ARCs I have to read and then try to work in library books and new discoveries. I love the idea of posting a list though – I’m going to do it!
I try not to set TBRs anymore, there’s ARCs that I’m committed to. But other than, I just mood read.
