2020 is a weird year in many ways. I spent more time at home then I have in a long time, saw my office only once since March, and haven’t been able to really see any family or friends outside of my bubble. But with all the weirdness I was successful in some stuff with reading being at the top. Between my monthly TBR Lists, my NetGalley personal challenges, and my Goodreads reading challenge 2020 was good to me.
Here is my 2020 Round-Up:
Honestly I wasn’t sure how a full year of TBR lists would go for me. It had been a long time since I did one regularly (minus when I started this last year) but I was pleasantly surprised. I was actually successful reading everything on my list 2 months in a row and I don’t think that has EVER happened to me before. All in all 2020 was an excellent reading year for me.
Next Round-Up is my Netgalley update. Back in January I celebrated my 7 year blog anniversary and introduced a new individual challenge I am taking part in. I had picked 25 books on the Netgalley queue that I planned to read to help my Netgalley feedback ratio. I’m not gonna to lie, it fizzled out at the end and I didn’t get my coverall, but I think I did really well reading all but those 3 books. Maybe in 2021 I will get those all taken care of but even if I don’t it is okay!
On the other side of things, I am KILLED it in getting my Feedback Ratio up. I started this journey expecting myself to fail. But I actually did really well and I’m 100% proud of myself. Would 80% have been nice? absolutely. But 75% is a milestone for me and I will take it.
I am going to continue this journey next year and I want to take you with me on it. Inspired by the above template from laurasloaninglibrary on Instagram, I used the above and created my own that worked for my needs. And I did it in a bunch of colors. You can easily find the templates on my Instagram Highlights but if you want to try your hand at it, here is the blank versions. You’ll see my update on these at the end of each month.
My goal was 100, I read 135 (maybe 136 if I finish the one I started today). Not to shabby!
How did you do in 2020?
