The women's league is in the house! And Brooklyn will never be the same again for Anton Bayer and the team…

This is my last chance to ditch my playboy reputation and finally fulfill my potential. So I’ve made three rules for our biggest season yet: no boozing, no women, and no scandals.

Especially that last thing.

So who do I befriend on the very first day back at the rink? An amazing female hockey player. I want Sylvie in a way that’s more than just friendly. I crave her. But I have a championship to win, and so does she.

Then she gets her heart broken by my teammate, and I make the foolish mistake of comforting her in the best way I know how. Our night together sets off a string of sins.

Nobody can know about our affair, especially my overprotective teammate. I can’t let anyone see into my greedy little heart. Not even her.

The things I want from her, and the things we’ve already done? If anyone knew, there’d be bombshells.

Contains: a defenseman with dreamy blue eyes, a female goalie with bad ideas, a major battle of the sexes and a swimming pool scene...

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

If you know me, you know I am a huge fan of Sarina Bowen and her books. I’m a huge fan of sports romances in general and Sarina does them like no other. So naturally I was excited to hear we were finally getting a Baby Bayer book and Bombshells lived up to the hype in my head for what he deserved.

Bombshells is the story of Anton Bayer. Anton has been known on his team as Baby Bayer and is trying to make up for his failure of a season the year before. He has swore off anything that will get him in the gossip pages and women. This season is about hockey and hockey only. And then he meets Sylvie. The second he lays eyes on the back-up goalie for the Brooklyn women’s hockey team he is smitten. Too bad Sylvie has a connection to one of his teammates and Baby Bayer is only focus on hockey. That was the plan anyway.

First and foremost, Sylvie and Anton had amazing chemistry. The second they met I could feel the spark on the page. They were also really good for one another as friends. They connected really well so it made reading Bombshells a joy. The whole time I was reading I wanted Anton to succeed in his goal and for Sylvie to prove herself to herself. There dynamic was exceptional and I just wanted more of them and their support of one another.

Way back in 2016 I started on the journey that is Sarina Bowen’s series, Brooklyn Bruisers. I had always been a fan of hockey romance books but there was something about this series that sucked me in from the beginning. I loved going through the journey of this athletes falling for these capable women (I’m looking at you Nate and Rebecca!!!). They fight it with all their might sometimes, but it is just no use. And Bombshells was no different. Make sure you join Baby Bayer on his journey for love. You won’t be sorry.
