Harriet and Wyn have been the perfect couple since they met in college—they go together like salt and pepper, honey and tea, lobster and rolls. Except, now—for reasons they’re still not discussing—they don’t.

They broke up six months ago. And still haven’t told their best friends.

Which is how they find themselves sharing the largest bedroom at the Maine cottage that has been their friend group’s yearly getaway for the last decade. Their annual respite from the world, where for one vibrant, blue week they leave behind their daily lives; have copious amounts of cheese, wine, and seafood; and soak up the salty coastal air with the people who understand them most.

Only this year, Harriet and Wyn are lying through their teeth while trying not to notice how desperately they still want each other. Because the cottage is for sale and this is the last week they’ll all have together in this place. They can’t stand to break their friends’ hearts, and so they’ll play their parts. Harriet will be the driven surgical resident who never starts a fight, and Wyn will be the laid-back charmer who never lets the cracks show. It’s a flawless plan (if you look at it from a great distance and through a pair of sunscreen-smeared sunglasses). After years of being in love, how hard can it be to fake it for one week… in front of those who know you best?

Every time I think Emily Henry has written her best book I read the next one and I’m blown away. Happy Place was such an emotional journey of life, love and friendship and I loved every minute of it. Harriet and Wyn had me smiling one minute and an emotional mess the next. As someone that is not always into second chance romance there was nothing about this book that I didn’t love. All of these friends, not just Harriet and Wyn, but the whole group of them, learned a lot about themselves and their relationships. Truly a great book from beginning to the end. Sparks fly when a romance novelist and a documentary filmmaker join forces to craft the perfect Hollywood love story and take both of their careers to the next level—but only if they can keep the chemistry between them from taking the whole thing off script.

Felicity “Fizzy” Chen is lost. Sure, she’s got an incredible career as a beloved romance novelist with a slew of bestsellers under her belt, but when she’s asked to give a commencement address, it hits her: she hasn’t been practicing what she’s preached.

Fizzy hasn’t ever really been in love. Lust? Definitely. But that swoon-worthy, can’t-stop-thinking-about-him, all-encompassing feeling? Nope. Nothing. What happens when the optimism she’s spent her career encouraging in readers starts to feel like a lie?

Connor Prince, documentary filmmaker and single father, loves his work in large part because it allows him to live near his daughter. But when his profit-minded boss orders him to create a reality TV show, putting his job on the line, Connor is out of his element. Desperate to find his romantic lead, a chance run-in with an exasperated Fizzy offers Connor the perfect solution. What if he could show the queen of romance herself falling head-over-heels for all the world to see? Fizzy gives him a hard pass—unless he agrees to her list of demands. When he says yes, and production on The True Love Experiment begins, Connor wonders if that perfect match will ever be in the cue cards for him, too.

The True Love Experiment is the book fans have been waiting for ever since Fizzy’s debut in The Soulmate Equation. But when the lights come on and all eyes are on her, it turns out the happily ever after Fizzy had all but given up on might lie just behind the camera.

Lately I have gone back and forth on my love and not love on Christina Lauren book. As much as I loved The Soulmate Equation is as much as I didn’t love Something Wilder. But I was still excited for The True Love Experiment because I loved Fizzy in Soulmate. And did this book ever deliver. Fizzy and Connor where everything I hoped for and more. They had the BEST chemistry and their banter was on point. The way they got closer as friends and then transitioned to something else was a chef’s kiss of perfection. They were exactly what I come to expect from a CLo book and I’m so happy I read it. Also doesn’t hurt that my all time favorite TV show, Crash Landing on You, got a mention! Highly recommend giving The Soulmate Equation and The True Love Experiment a read through. You won’t be disappointed!

On screen, they're in love. Off screen, they can't stand each other. Two co-stars with a complex history reunite to film the final season of a beloved paranormal drama in this tension-filled will they won't they romance from the author of How to Fake It in Hollywood.

Lilah Hunter and Shane McCarthy are madly in love— at least, their characters are. As the stars of the hit paranormal TV show Intangible, they spent years pining for each other on-screen… until Lilah ditched the show at the end of season five in hopes of becoming a film star. With no such luck, she’s back to film the much-hyped ninth and final season, in which their characters will get together at last.

But coming back means facing one of the biggest reasons she left: Shane. Ever since their secret behind-the-scenes fling imploded at the end of the first season, the two of them have despised each other.

Now back on set together for the first time in years, with the world’s eyes on them and their post-show careers on the line, they’ll have to grit their teeth and play nice. But under pressure to give Intangible’s fans the happy ending they’ve been waiting for, Lilah and Shane are forced to get closer than ever. And if they’re not careful, they just might get blindsided by one final twist: a real-life happy ending of their own.

Another gem by Ava Wilder. I admit that in the beginning of the Will They or Won’t They I wasn’t sold, but as the story unfolded and I got to know these Shane and Lilah the more I fell in love. They were such a great couple with amazing chemistry. The way they were bicker and banter was so on point. I would find myself hoping after every “fight” they would just kiss and get it over with because it was clear they were meant for each other. This book made it clear to me that Ava Wilder is not only a fantastic writer, but a fantastic storyteller and no one should be sleeping on her books. I don’t want to say too much about Will They or Won’t They since it isn’t out yet, but I do want you all to know you need to pick it up when you can!
