First and foremost, How Sweet It Is was a super fun read. It had all of the elements I love in a romance like the quirky meet cute, the misunderstandings, the adorableness. Drake and Kate had such a solid chemistry I yearned for more of them. They played off each other really well and it made reading their story a fun time. I also loved the awkward situations they both kept getting into with the other. It added a fun lightness to their story and was woven in really well with the plot. With that said I didn’t love how […]

In 2019 I read the beginning of a new series, The Bromance Book Club. It was fun and quirky and made me laugh. There was something oddly entertaining about a group of alpha males, mostly professional sports players, reading a romance novel and taking “pointers” from it. It was refreshing in a sense. So when I heard about book 2, Undercover Bromance, which was featuring my one of my favorite guys from book 1, was coming out I was thrilled. And while Undercover Bromance was good enough, for me it was missing some of the magic book one had and […]

Brothers liking the same girl can easily be a hit or miss with me. The author really has to nail it for me to buy into it because if they don’t it can come off a gross and creepy.  Mia Sosa is one of the ones that has nailed it. Lina and Max had such an unexpected chemistry that felt natural and had nothing to do with his brother, Lina’s ex-fiancé. The story definitely wasn’t perfect and it had one small head scratching moment for me, but I devoured this book and loved it. It was engaging and charming and […]

What to say about Twice in a Blue Moon. I’m not going to lie, I enjoyed this enough and had a mostly fun time reading it, but when I hit about the 75% mark the book took a drastic turn for me and I didn’t love it as much as I originally was. Sam and Tate had a great relationship and I could see their chemistry but the end of this one really threw me for a loop and it took so much away from what I was loving to begin with. Long after I read it I am still […]

Honestly, I had some issues with A Love Like Yours on a few points that made not love it like I thought I would. Don’t get me wrong, it was entertaining and a fast read, but there were just things in it that I didn’t love, Lucy being one of them. I loved Sam and how much he loved Lucy, but she just couldn’t seem to make up her mind and had such little empathy for his feelings and faith in him that it annoyed me a lot more than I wanted it to. I also found Sebastian to be […]
