Sadly it is the end of August. Soon the trees will be turning colors and the leaves will be falling off here in New England. Trust me, I hate it as much as you probably do if not more. I’m a summer baby and I like my heat. But with a chance of the season a change of wardrobe must happen(more on this on Friday). But since the weather will most likely, hopefully, not change drastically over night, you will need a transition outfit. Therefore I bring you today’s Monopoly Money Monday. Still summer appropriate for those last few warmer temps, yet just enough fall to get by.
What is your summer to fall transition look?
This week for Monopoly Money Monday I decided to do something a little different. Instead of giving you a whole outfit or a list of books or a list on nail polishes I picked my favorite 5 novelty sweaters that are under $100.00. Why you ask? Well I’ll tell you. First, novelty sweaters are super popular right now. Basically anyone can wear them as long as you find the right one. And two, as hard as it is for me to admit, fall is around the corner and these sweaters will be needed.
And now I ask, how do you feel about novelty sweaters? Which of my picks is your favorite?

Doing some perusing for Monopoly Money Monday I came across this Goonie’s Sweatshirt and knew I had to pull together a cheap casual weekend look. I loved that movie so much and I may just need to spend my real money on this whole look. After all one of the movies best quotes…”Andi…YOU GOONIE!” Kind of perfect no? 😉
What movie would you wear on a shirt?
I know, I know, it is very much still summer. Trust me, I don’t want the summer to go away any quicker than you do. Even with the heat, I would rather summer over winter and snow and that is what fall is, one step closer to the misery. But with September comes some great books releases that I’m excited for and you should be too. So for today’s Monopoly Money Monday, I’m buying all the books…7 to be exact and using the left over money to pay for shipping. Genius, right?!
Allegiant by Veronica Roth $12.50 (10/22/13)
Not A Drop to Drink by Mindy McGinnis $14.41 (9/24/13)
Where the Stars Still Shine by Trish Doller $13.72 (9/24/13)
Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell $13.38 (9/10/13)
Never Fade by Alexandra Bracken $13.30 (10/15/13)
Starry Nights by Daisy Whitney $12.74 (9/3/13)
Hereafter by Kate Brian $13.14 (10/1/13)
For a grand total of $93.19. Not too bad. That gives me $6.81 left for shipping or Starbucks, which ever I would prefer.
What September and October books would you want to buy with your $100?

As my cruise gets closer I find myself looking at nautical items more and more frequently. Yes peanut gallery, it is possible to look at them more than I already do so zip it! HA! But in all seriousness, there is something about the idea of a boat that really makes me want to get and wear all things anchor that I don’t already own. Alas I give you today’s Monopoly Money Monday. The perfect nautical dress/look. I know, I know, I went over the $100 maximum, but I happened to find change in an old bag I switched out so it’s allowed.
So what do you think? What kind of clothes do you gravitate to before going away?
