Monopoly Money Monday

Not gonna lie, this post is getting harder and harder to do and I’m running out of ideas so it may have to go on hiatus for a while unless you have some suggestions for me. But with all that aside I did have one idea left in the artillery. Books! As you know, if you have been reading or paying attention to my Instargram, I am not buying anything in the month of April. No clothes, no nail polish, no books. Which has actually worked out since there are about 25 books that I want that are released in May. With that in mind I decided I would spend my $100 monopoly dollars(seriously, I’ll be spending real money on these at some point as well) and buy the top 8 books for the month.

maybooks

1) Criminal by Terra Elan McVoy(available 5/7/13): $11.20
2) The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey(available 5/7/13): $11.98
3) How I Lost You by Janet Gurtler(available 4/23/13): $8.99
4) Fifteenth Summer by Michelle Dalton(available 5/7/13): $8.99

Monopoly Money Monday

Trying to come up with something for Monopoly Money Monday I came across this dress and knew immediately it was time for a one dress outfit post. Using the dress as the main focal point I built an outfit around it that can be worn just about anywhere and is the low cost of $98.97! Not too shabby!

Monopoly Money Monday

And what will we find in today’s edition of Monopoly Money Monday? Well I’ll tell you Pat…(I watch entirely too much Wheel of Fortune!). Today I decided to So back to the beginning and pull together an outfit with shoes and accessories. Because I mean really what kind of outfit has no shoes or no accessories?! That would be like being naked. 🙂 And since I’m itching for it to be warm, I did a summer look. $100 ish bucks on a cute outfit?! SOLD!(well not really because I’m still on a shopping ban but you get what I’m saying.

Monopoly Money Monday

…and Red Sox home opener!!!!!!!!!!! WOO HOO! And yes, I’m going to the game today. 🙂

With that said I decided to do another take on Monopoly Money Monday and mix things up a tad. I picked one item. Infact I picked this item:

Shirt

What, I’m excited, it’s opening day!

As I was saying, I took this one item, priced at $50.00 (a huge chunk of my $100.00 budget) and created three different looks with it. It was fun, it was a challenge, it made me want this shirt even more  then I did before. Let;s say if the Sox win and it is still available after my no shopping ban is up, this bad boy will be mine! Anyway, here you go:

Monopoly Money Monday

Yup, it’s that dreaded day of the week…it’s Monday. Why Monday’s are so painful is beyond me, but with Monday also comes a new edition of Monopoly Money Monday (which is getting harder and harder to do by the way!). This weeks $100.00 is going to be spent on earrings. Now I go back and forth a lot when it comes to earrings. I love to own them to wear in theory but I hardly ever find myself actually wearing them. But just because I don’t wear them as often as I could/should doesn’t mean you don’t want to see what I would get.

Six pairs at a total of $99.00. Not too bad if I say so myself. If I didn’t have to get my favorite bow earrings in there I could have gotten more, but such is the way of things. What kind of earrings do you like?
