Top Ten Tuesday – The Book Boyfriend

Honestly I could go through the whole song and dance. I could tell you about my love of Chaol from the Throne of Glass series (read Tower of Dawn if you haven’t!!!), or Corey Livingston from What Happens Next, or even talk about my love of Four in Divergent, but what’s the point. If you know me you know there are two book boys that have my heart forever and ever and there isn’t much more I can say about that:

Etienne St. Clair from Anna and the French Kiss

Rhysand from A Court of Mist and Fury

Those two boys will forever be my book friends/book crushes. As much as I love some others, they just don’t hold a candle to these two I have on a pedestal.

Who are your book crushes? Are you surprised by mine?

Top Ten Tuesday – Fall TBR

So I’m a week late, but I hate missing the seasonal TBR list posts. Since I missed it last week (truthfully I was too lazy to put a post together) I figured I would do it this week.

In all honestly my TBR is out of control and always is. I have come to accept this flaw, quirk, awesome thing about myself. I will never have a small TBR and that’s that. But what I did do for this list is narrow it down to books on my Kindle that I have downloaded from Netgalley and/or Edelweiss. Some of these books are out next year, some are already out, and some will be out soon, but these are the 10 I hope to read this Fall.

Love, Life and the List ||Far from the Tree

Heart on Fire || Bad Girls with Perfect Faces

The Hazel Wood || The Knowing

The Girl with the Red Balloon || Ringer

The Idea of You || Can’t Walk Away

I have no idea if I will get through them, but I’m going to give it my all.

Are any of these on your TBR? Have you read any of them?

Top Ten Tuesday – Favorite Books from 2013

I started Andi’s ABCs in January of 2013. I had been co-blogging somewhere else for about 6 months to a year before that, but my blog was born in 2013. I read 154 books over the course of that year. About 30ish of those books were 5 stars for me (not sure if I reread them I would give them all the same now). And of those 30ish, here are the 10 that I still love to this day:

Parallel – Lauren Miller

Jellicoe Road – Melina Marchetta

The Program – Suzanne Young

All Our Yesterdays – Cristin Terrill

Maybe One Day – Melissa Kantor

Pivot Point – Kasie West

Altered – Jennifer Rush

Allegiant – Veronica Roth

Fangirl – Rainbow Rowell

Graceling – Kristin Cashore

Have you read any of these gems?

Top Ten Tuesday – Realistic Contemporary Reading List

I was originally going to skip today’s Back to School freebie for Top Ten Tuesday. But then I started to think about it and I thought about how many amazing realistic contemporary books I’ve read over the last 7 or so years and it made me realize there should be a reading list of this in high schools for kids. These books deal with school shootings, abuse, date rape, mental illness and more. They are all things that I think high schoolers should know about and be able to read about. So here is my list of 10 Realistic Contemporaries that should be on a reading list for teens:

What We Saw || Every Last Word || When We Collided || Faking Normal || What Happens Next

If I Lie || Shine || Hate List || Bad Romance || Thirteen Reasons Why

What do you think should belong on a realistic contemporary reading list for high school kids? Have you read of of these?

Top Six Tuesday – Birthday Wishlist

So technically this is not a Top Ten Tuesday post. First of all there is no topic for the day since they are on hiatus until next week. Secondly I only have 6 books on this list. But that all aside my birthday is on Sunday and I was thinking about books coming out in 2018 that I would really love. There are 6 books that I am dying to have my in little hands and since birthdays are supposed to feel magical here is my magical wish list of 6 books I want:

The Complication – Suzanne Young

Heart on Fire – Amanda Bouchet

Meet Cute – Various Authors

Starry Eyes – Jenn Bennett

Starlight Nights – Stacey Kade

Love, Life and the List – Kasie West

Truthfully there are a ton more that I would want, but these all have covers so the win. But I’m waiting on you books by Morgan Matson and Sarah J. Maas 🙂

What books would be on your birthday wish list that come out in 2018?
