I love posts that have to do with Summer Reads. I just had a conversation with a friend not that long ago about high school required summer reading lists. We came to the conclusion that the word “required” might be what turns kids off from wanting to read books. I suggested letting them pick their own books, both classics and current young adult, and having them read 5-10 of them.
