Review: Throne of Glass – Sarah J. Maas

Review: Throne of Glass –..

I’m not really sure what I can say about this book that hasn’t already be said. I’m admittedly late to the party on this series and almost missed it entirely. You see, I’m not a huge fantasy reader so I skimmed by this one. That was until I was told over and over again how good it is and even non-fantasy readers have loved it. I decided to take the plunge and the book was just fantastic. The story, the characters, the writing; it was all there. Throne of Glass is about Celaena, an 18-year-old assassin that has been a […]

Review: The One – Kiera Cass

Review: The One – Kiera ..

Never in my entire life have I read a series of book that has given me more anxiety than The Selection series. The Selection was a minor case of anxiety. The Elite pushed it to a whole new level, to the point that I missed my train stop and wanted to throw the book a time or two. And then there is The One. If I thought the nerves were bad for The Elite I was 100% wrong. The pit in my stomach reading The One was astronomical. I mean seriously Kiera Cass, seriously! The One is the final chapter […]

Review: Not a Drop to Drink – Mindy McGinnis

Review: Not a Drop to Drink &#..

This book was on my radar before it was even out and in my possession on release date. I mean a post-apocalyptic dystopian where there is a water shortage that isn’t a series? Yes, please. But for some reason, I never got around to reading it. I wanted to, really wanted to, but it just never happened. Well until now that is. And the bonus, it was just as great as everyone said it was. It was unique and well written and had great characters and a completely new world that hasn’t been used before which is hard in a […]

Review: All Our Yesterdays – Cristin Terrill

Review: All Our Yesterdays ..

Flipping fantastic is the first thought that comes to mind when thinking about All Our Yesterdays. The book was really freaking FANTATSTIC. I really can’t think of one thing that I didn’t like about this book. As a person that usually has trouble with time travel(Back to the Future series aside) I wasn’t really sure what to expect from this book or if I would have my usual time travel aversion. But All Our Yesterdays is written and developed in such a way that I actually forgot there was time travel going on. It felt almost like a parallel life […]

Review: Splintered – A. G. Howard

Review: Splintered – A. ..

Holy dark and creepy and twisted take on Alice in Wonderland and I loved every minute of it! It was the comfort of Alice in Wonderland with such a different take that I was mesmerized by it. The imagery, the characters, the story, the weirdness. I devoured Splintered and was left wanting more when I was done. Basically Splintered is the story of Alyssa Gardner, a somewhat descendent of the inspiration for Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderlands. Since the telling of Alice’s stories, the women in Alyssa’s family have been cursed with madness and usually end up in mental health […]
