Mini Reviews #2

I liked this book, I did. I wasn’t crazy in love with it like I had wanted to be after This Song Will Save Your Life, but I liked it. Arden grew a lot in this story. She saw how she wasn’t who she thought she was and that there was more to her than expected. That was the part that I really enjoyed. What I didn’t like was the Peter part and the “stalking” him in NYC part and his reaction. Personally I found his reaction to the whole thing just odd. It didn’t make sense to […]

Review: The Secrets We Keep – Trisha Leaver

Review: The Secrets We Keep &#..

Twins seem to be a theme in a lot of books coming out in 2015, well twins or siblings. Personally I’ve always been interested by twins/siblings as I’m an only child so I was pretty excited to see the theme. And I was extra excited to see The Secrets We Keep as is took the plot to a different level. And I’m happy to report that The Secrets We Keep was utterly fascinating. It was a really sold story and I’m happy to have read it. The Secrets We Keep is about Ella and Maddy, identical twins that couldn’t be […]

Review: The Winner’s Crime – Marie Rutkoski

Review: The Winner’s Cri..

Well The Winner’s Crime broke me. I kid you not, it ripped my heart out and stomped on it and then handed it back to me in a puddle. It took my words for two weeks and left me demolished. So naturally I loved it. I was late to the party for the Winner’s trilogy. I had heard a lot about The Winner’s Curse from friends but I had never jumped in. But since I started to read a wider selection of books and not just dystopian and contemporaries I finally gave it a chance. And the end just about […]

Blog Tour: I’ll Meet You There Q and A with Heather Demetrios and a Giveaway

Blog Tour: I’ll Meet You..

1. I was lucky enough to win a copy of I’ll Meet You There and read it back in the summer. It is one of those books that just stays with you (4 months later it still kills me in the best of ways!). You can 100% tell that you put your heart in soul into this book. The emotions just leap of the page. What was that like for you? How was the experience of writing it? In some ways I feel like IMYT kind of ruined me—it’s raised the bar so high in terms of what the journey […]

Review: I’ll Meet You There – Heather Demetrios

Review: I’ll Meet You Th..

As I sit down to write this review words seem to be lacking to explain how I feel about I’ll Meet You There. You see, I loved Demetrios’ first book Something Real like hardcore. I loved the concept and the characters and the writing. It was a pretty fantastic book. So going into I’ll Meet You There I was nervous. Excited, but nervous. I didn’t want to compare the two books as I knew they were completely different, but sometimes you can’t help worrying in your head that you will. Well rest well my reading friends, not once did I […]
