Love at First Page and Gone with the Words 2016 Contemporary Romance Reading Challenge. You can find out all the details you need to know HERE. There are different levels to this challenge and I decided to go for the grand slam level.

I Read Only 7 books, most which were romance but I won’t be reviewing so a zero for November.

So far this year I have read 33 for this challenge.

And if you missed the news, I am the new host for the 2017 Contemporary Romance Reading Challenge. Danielle and Jess have passed the reigns on to me. You can sign-up HERE. And feel free to grab the button and post it on your blog.

ROCK-1

Sarah at The YA Book Traveler is hosting Rock My TBR challenge. It is no secret that as book bloggers we have a lot of books that don’t get read. We get busy or getting something new and shiny (we are an easily distracted bunch) and things we were excited about reading don’t actually get read. This is my chance to change that and to read some of the books that have been collecting dust since before I was blogging. You can find more information HERE

I did not ROCK MY TBR this month. OOPS

So far I have read 4.

must-read-2016-banner

Lauren from Bookmark Lit is hosting The Must Read in 2016 “Challenge”. This challenge isn’t really a challenge per say. More a way to push yourself to read some books you were excited about in 2015 that you just never got to. Find out more HERE. This challenge will over lap a lot with Rock My TBR. Because of that I am just going to post a picture of what I read in the month from my original post:

Still only at 4. I really need to read another one of these.

A Month in Review: Challenge Update – October

goal

Title: The Goal
Author: Elle Kennedy
Dates Read: September 30 – October 2

Thoughts: I was sadly disappointed in this final installment. I feel like something was really off with Tuck and Sabrina’s story and it just made me sad, The other 3 books were so strong, even when I wasn’t in love with the 2nd one, but this one was just a get down. I hope the spin off series is better.

byyourside

Title: By Your Side
Author: Kasie West
Dates Read: October 3 – 5

Thoughts: This was also a let down. There is so much I want to say about the disappointing parts of this story. If I could change some stuff at the end I think I would have been happier. I did really like the boy in this one though so that made me happy.

onbrokenwings

Title:  On Broken Wings
Author: Chanel Cleeton
Dates Read: October 12

Thoughts: THE BEST OF THE SERIES! I almost started crying more than once because parts were so heartbreaking. But Easy is really swoony and I loved the chemistry here and the struggle to make it all work. Honestly I want to read it again and probably will.

I read about 11 books in October but only 3 of those are ones that I decided to include in my challenge as I will completely review them at some point. So far this year I have read 33 for this challenge. And speaking of this challenge stay tuned in November for something special to be happening.

score

Title: The Score
Author: Elle Kennedy
Dates Read: September 8-12 (Reread)

My favorite book of this series. Had to reread it and hang out with Dean and Allie all over again. Oh and Winston. Can’t forget Winston.

deal

Title: The Deal
Author: Elle Kennedy
Dates Read: September 15 (Reread)

The book that started my love for this series! I was hooked the first time I read it and hooked again the second time. So much in fact I read it in a day.

allbroke

Title: All Broke Down
Author: Cora Carmack
Dates Read: September 16-19 (Reread)

Silas! All the heart eyes for Silas. What more can I say? I just love him so so much. I can’t wait for Stella’s story.

twenty

Title: Twenty Boy Summer
Author: Sarah Ockler
Dates Read: September 16-23 (Reread)

I have loved this book since the first time I read it. It’s a book everyone needs to read. It will hurt your heart but make you smile. And you will see what it it like to grow up and grow apart.

I didn’t read a lot of new books in September. My month was mostly spent reading Empire of Storms. But I did some rereading so it totally counts. So far this year I have read 30 for this challenge.

shufflerepeat

Title: Shuffle, Repeat
Author: Jen Klein
Dates Read: August 18 – 20

I loved this book a lot. Oliver and June made this story what it was and that was just so fun. It made me smile and made me happy. And I basically devoured it. See my review HERE.

allinpieces

Title: All in Pieces
Author: Suzanne Young
Dates Read: August 4 – 6

I can’t say enough how fantastic this book was. It was everything I love in a great story and Suzanne Young did it to perfection. I can’t wait for it to come out and for all of you to read it and love it along with me.

I read a lot in August but not like I had in June and July. I’m happy with what I read though so go me. So far this year I have read 26 for this challenge.

inreallife

Title: In Real Life
Author: Jessica Love
Dates Read: July 1 – July 5

Thoughts: I loved this book. It was cute and fun and reminded me in ways of Anna and the French Kiss (which is something I don’t say lightly). It made me want to hop on a plane to Vegas and never leave because VEGAS! You can read my review HERE.

weekof

Title: A Week of Mondays
Author: Jessica Brody
Dates Read: July 10 – July 14

Thoughts: I was surprised how much I ended up liking this book. I thought it would be boring or monotonous with the same day repeated 7 times, but it actually worked. I liked how the days varied as the main character grew and changed. My review will be posted next month in a mini review post.

rookie

Title: Rookie Move
Author: Sarina Bowen
Dates Read: July 18 – July 20

Thoughts: I wanted to like this one more than I did. I mean I didn’t hate it but I wasn’t in love either. Something was off for me with it. But I will continue the series because hockey boys! My review will be posted next month in a mini review post.

I was once again a reading machine in July. I didn’t read as many books as in June but I read a good amount. I didn’t do so great on my other challenges so 3 for this one makes me happy. So far this year I have read 24 for this challenge.
