There is one book and one book only that I usually recommend if you want the really good ugly cry. Second Chance Summer by Morgan Matson. By far the most emotionally charged book I have ever read. I was a legit mess for the last 40 or so pages but it was so worth it. Maston wrote an amazingly poignant book and it came threw in spades by the time you were done.
