Review: Things I Can’t Forget – Miranda Kenneally

Review: Things I Can’t F..

Fantastic. Things I Can’t Forget was really great. It was different than what Kenneally has written in the past focusing hugely on religious beliefs but even with that difference it 100% had the Kenneally feel. Cute boy? Check. Emotional Turmoil? Check. Character Crossover? Check. Add in the religious aspect, which I am personally fascinated by, although not religious myself, and you have a can’t miss story. And She definitely didn’t miss. Things I Can’t Forget is Kate story. She is a good girl, the one that has always done the right thing. She is basically a parents dream. But what […]

Gap Skimmers

Gap Skimmers

I recently purchased a pair of Gap Skimmers and I am in love with them. They fit perfectly and have just the right amount of distress to them. As soon as I put them on the wheels in my head started turning and I started to think how many way I could wear them. Monopoly Money Monday

In this edition of Monopoly money Monday I have decided to spend my money on rings thanks to a suggestion from a savvy ABCer. Second Chance Sunday – Want to Go Private? by Sarah Darer Littman

Second Chance Sunday – W..

This edition of Second Chance Sunday is Sarah Darer Littman’s disturbingly realistic book Want to Go Private?. I still  get the chills thinking about this book it was that real and scary especially in a world where teens live on the internet. This book looks at what happens when a child is unsupervised online for the most part and the dangers that they may face. I warn anyone that is a parent and read this it will freak you out. I’m not a parent and it freaked me out thinking of my 14 year old godchild and how easy it […]

Interview Style

Interview Style

A friend has an interview next week and requested I try to pull together some interview wear. Now I must admit it has been 15 years since I had to go on an interview so I am a tad out of practice. But as the HR department at my place of business I styled looks based on what I would personally find acceptable. The main thing really to avoid when it comes to dressing for an interview is trends. You want to remain as classic as possible, but can include some interest like color and pattern and even texture. Just […]
