Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award Q and A

Posted November 28, 2014 by Andi in General / 2 Comments

sisterhoodI was tagged by 4 blogs (A Book to Remember/Dana Square/Disquietus Reads/Love is Not a Triangle) for Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award. I’m not sure when and how the tag started, but credit to whoever that person is and thanks to the bloggers for the shout out. I’m supposed to answer the 10 questions they left for me, but I wasn’t answering 40 questions. Instead I answered 3 from each tag.

Guidlines:

  • Thank the blogger who nominated you and link back to their website.
  • Post the award’s logo on your blog.
  • Answer the ten questions you have been asked.
  • Nominate 10 other bloggers and ask them 10 other questions.

1. What is one book or series that you would make everyone read if you could?throne1
I thought about toying with everyone and messing around by saying a different book than you expect. Like I’ll Meet You There or Twenty Boy Summer or Throne of Glass series. But who are we kidding. I know what I’m going to say and you all know what I’m going to say. ANNA AND THE FRENCH KISS.

2. Name 3 fictional places you would move to in a heartbeat.
This is a hard question as most of the books I read that I notice the place being fictional is actually a place I would never live in in like ever. So I’m only giving one answer that I can think of off the top of my head: Colby from Sarah Dessen’s books.

3. Name your favorite and least favorite books of 2014.
I could go on and on about my favorite of 2014. I read some really great books like Isla and the Happily Ever After, Loop, Something Real, The One, Since You’ve Been Gone…so much greatness. But I guess if I had to pick a book that I wanted to hug as my favorite that came out in 2014 I would go with Emery Lord’s Open Road Summer.

For my least favorite, there were a few that I just didn’t get along with and I would rather not call them out. Feel free though to check out my Goodreads account if you want to see what those few are.

1. What character from a series deserves their own spin-off book or series?
There are a ton of great secondary characters out there that I would love to have have their own book. Kurt from Isla and the Happily Ever After, Meredith from Anna and the French Kiss, Reagan from Fangirl. I actually just had a post about this recently that you can find HERE. But honestly when I think about it, I would want Collins from Since You’ve Been Gone to be able to run the show with his own book and maybe, just maybe, get the girl.

2. Who is your most owned author?
Well this is my collection of physical Stephanie Perkins books. You tell me! anna

3. Which book that you love do you think deserves more hype?
I say this a lot about 3 book in particular: What Happens Next by Colleen Clayton, Parallel by Lauren Miller and Altered by Jennifer Rush. All 3 are so fantastic and I just don’t feel like they get the hype/love they deserve. Honestly if you haven’t read them yet you are missing out.

1. What is one 2015 book release that you are really looking forward to?
The Heir. The Selection series is my straight up book crack. When anything is asked about 2015 anticipation that is the first title that comes to mind because I need my fix. And I can’t wait to see where the story is headed. I mean don’t get me wrong there are a million and one other titles I’m dying for like Trish Doller, Tiffany Schmidt, Sarah Maas, Sarah Ockler’s newest books. But The Heir is what comes to mind first.

heir12. Do you have any other hobbies besides blogging and reading?
I used to do scrapbooking but it has been a long time since I’ve done that. And I don’t think shopping really counts as a hobby. So I guess not really. I do like to do puzzles on my iPad. 🙂

3. Are there any fairly popular books that you didn’t like?
There have been a few, but the one that comes to mind is Winger. I know that almost everyone loved that book but I just didn’t connect with it. I didn’t dislike it, but I didn’t see why everyone was insanely in love with it. But that is just me.

1. Who’s your favorite OTP? (one true pairing/fictional couple)
Anna and Etienne are number one of this list. There is no other number one.

2. If you could erase your memory and read one book again for the first time, which book would it be?
There are a couple just because I would love that feeling of a first read again. Anna and the French Kiss, Throne of Glass, Jellicoe Road, I’ll Meet You There, Twenty Boy Summer, Open Road Summer…I could go on and on.

3. What quote from a book will you never forget and why?
This is actually one of my favorite quotes. “I’m fine, thanks for not asking.” ~Twenty Boy Summer, Sarah Ockler. I just find it so powerful for someone that is twentygrieving a loss but has to be supportive of someone also dealing with that loss in what feels like a more important way.

I’m  not going to nominate anyone as most have already done it, but if you want in, pick 10 of these questions and go for it. (Questions a mix of ones left over from what I was asked)

  1. Who is your favorite book boyfriend/girlfriend?
  2. What are your favorite book covers?

  4. Who is your most owned author?

  1. I’m enjoying seeing everyone’s answers to this tag! And I’m totally not surprised that Anna and the French Kiss featured majorly among your answers, because hello book that you head over heels love 😉 It’s just like they say, “When you know [the book you love], you know [the book you love].” Teehee.

  2. What Happens Next is one of my all time favorite books, so I completely agree. More people need to read that fantastic gem! I also love the Altered series by Jennifer Rush. I’m not all surprised by the number of times you mention Anna. 😛
