Imagine this. You are sitting down with your eReader or looking at your bookshelf. You can all the titles you have staring you in the face. So many great books just waiting for you to read. Some you have been dying to read for a long time. Others you have just recently gotten. Your eyes go over and over everything and suddenly they land on a book you love. A book you have read before. You pick it up thinking: “I’ll just read the beginning” and before you know it…you are 100 pages in and have no plans on stopping. […]

Speed Reading. That’s what I’m Talking About today. Last Monday – Wednesday I did something I have never done before. I read a 700 page fantasy book, A Court of Wings and Ruin, in under 3 days. Typically I take DAYS/WEEKS to read a fantasy book that is that long. I mean I think it took me 3 weeks to finish A Court of Mist and Fury just last May. Pen to paper, okay, more keyboard to computer screen, and you get all your thoughts and feelings out. You express what you liked in the book, what you wanted more of, character development, the plot. Everyone […]

I’m a rereader. You know this if you follow this blog. I have reread Anna and the French Kiss, Lola and the Boy Next Door, Isla and the Happily Ever After, Twenty Boy Summer, Parallel, Throne of Glass, Divergent, A Court of Thorns and Roses, just to name a few. I’ve been rereading books I love for a long time and I always love them just as much as I did the first time. But what I haven’t have happen until recently is still loving the book but loving it in a completely different way after a reread. Before I […]

Let’s talk about what we are supposed to do as bloggers…Read and Review.  We all have the same struggles and I thought I would give you a look at my reading and review process from last year: Things would be good… I would finish the book… I’d let it sit with me and then pick up another book and then another… I would then sit down to write the review for the books I read 3 books ago… Frustrated from not remembering everything I loved in said book… Then I would read another book and stress about having to review […]
