There are a few books that I think of when it comes to throwing a book across the room. I’ve never actually done it, but I have thought about it. The reasoning behind each is always something different, and it usually isn’t because I hated the book, it is more because something or someone in the book has frustrated me. A character may be acting a fool. A story line may be going haywire on me. The cliff hanger ending made me crazy. For each book there is a different criteria for my over emotional reaction and I’ll share 4 of them with you that almost went on their very own flight.

pandemonium

Pandemonium – Lauren Oliver

The end of this book just about killed me. I knew it was coming. Had myself all ready and psyched up for it. I planned for it to happen and what my reaction would be. And then it happened and the book ended and I was demolished. The idea of having to wait to find out what would happen basically killed me and book 2 of the Delirium series almost took a nice little journey through the air and into a wall.

rise

Rise – Anna Carey

This book flat out made me mad with the ending. I had read this and Once back to back and Rise completely took out everything I loved about the series and slapped me in the face with the end. I honestly wanted to not only throw this book but I wanted to stomp on it with everything I had after. I was furious in the last 2-3 chapters and almost didn’t want to finish. Not one of my finest moments.

elite

The Elite – Kiera Cass

I loved everything about this book. So much in fact I missed my train stop on the way to work because of it. What I didn’t love was the heart palpitations it gave me and the dread I felt picking it up and the anxiety I felt reading every stupid things Maxon and America did to each other. The were making me crazy and yet I couldn’t get enough. It was torture but the best kind.

hesso

He’s So Not Worth It – Kieran Scott

I have never been more frustrated with a group of characters than I was with these kids. Jake has to be the dumbest boy to ever boy. He was just SO STUPID it made me crazy! And Ally, oh Ally! She was just as bad. This was the first book that I really and truly almost did throw. It still makes me crazy to even think about this book and if I didn’t pass it on to a friend I may just pick it up and throw it one day

So there you have it, by 4 books that almost met a violent death with a sale across the room. Did I make the right choice? Which books are yours?
