Monthly TBR – January 2023/December 2022 Wrap-Up

Posted January 1, 2023 by Andi in TBR, Wrap Up / 0 Comments

It’s hard to believe I started doing these monthly TBR lists in 2019 and they have somehow stuck for this long. I’m not sure why they have become somewhat successful for me, but I’m sticking to it and seeing how it goes in 2023.

So again my month of reading didn’t go as planned but what can you do. I missed my reading goal for the year by 6 books but that’s how life goes, you don’t always make your goals, but you make do with what you get done. I have to say that The Prince and the Apocalypse is a book you all will need in your life. I comes out in July but it is my favorite YA of 2022 and Kara McDowell’s best work, IMO.Do I wish I read more? 100%. But I will take what I did get done and be happy. Not to mention I watched 57 KDramas which is all about the subtitles so in my mind…goal was met. šŸ˜›

Now for my 2023 TBR list. This year I have a reread category, but it is a special one. Andi’s ABCs turns 10 on the 11th and I have decided to reread a favorite book from every year I have been blogging with 2 special mentions from before my blogging days. There will be a post in the upcoming days about this category and the book included but January is of course Anna and the French Kiss. But I am also really excited for these other books on my list. I just actually bought Before I Let Go after seeing so many people talk about it so I’m thrilled to read it. Will I get to them all? Time will tell.

What do you do for a monthly TBR? Do you stick to a list or wing it? Have you read any of these?
