Mini Reviews #12 – Holiday Books

Mini Reviews #12 – Holid..

Here are a few brief thoughts on some Holiday book reads: I really enjoyed The Holiday Swap. It was a cute holiday book that reads like a Hallmark movie. Cass and Charlie may have been identical twins with a penchant for baking, but they were complete opposites on how they lived their lives. Switching places definitely helped them both get out of ruts they were in and to see what they could have been missing. I really enjoyed the growth of both characters as they settled into their new situation and environment. It did have some confusing parts at the […]

Review: Defy the Night – Brigid Kemmerer

Review: Defy the Night –..

In 2017 I fell in love with Brigid Kemmerer and her writing. I picked up one of her books, Love Letters to the Lost, at 7am one day and by the end of that night I was done, while working a full day. Her writing grabbed me immediately and I never turned back. Since then I have devoured 5 other books by her and have loved them all to pieces thinking she could never get any better. Review: The Love Hypothesis &#..

When a book drops that is super hyped I admit I worry. Whether it is a young adult or romance, I get scared the hype will kill my love for the story. It has happened before and I know it will happen again. The hype effect is real and I fear it. Review: Never Saw You Coming – Erin Hahn

Review: Never Saw You Coming &..

Erin Hahn has quickly become an auto-read author for me. When I read her first two books, You’d Be Mine and More Than Maybe, I knew anything she wrote would be an easy sell. She writes books that have heart and tackle real issues. And she especially did that with her 3rd book, Never Saw You Coming. Not only does Hahn tackle friendship and love in this book, she also tackles the complicated feelings that come with growing up and religion, and she did an amazing job doing it! Never Saw You Coming is the story of Meg, yes that […]

Review: The Pick-Up – Miranda Kenneally

Review: The Pick-Up – Mi..

Disclaimer: I should start by saying this book is been dedicated to me. I am friends with Miranda and was also fortunate enough to read some drafts of the story before it became a book. With that said I want it to be clear all thoughts are my own and not influenced by any of this. It is no secret that I love Miranda Kenneally books. Since the first time I read her debut, Catching Jordan, in 2012 I knew I was a fan for life. I was in love with the whole Hundred Oaks series. And I was in […]
