Today’s Top Ten Tuesday was pretty simple. I recently went to ALA-MW and picked up a bunch of books I haven’t heard of but sounded good so that covered 8 of the newest additions to my TBR (I got like 32 books total). Currently I have 122 books on my Goodreads 2016 shelf which seems low to me. I’m not sure if I’m behind on the good books coming out or if I am getting better at adding everything under the sun. Of those 122, 88 of them come out in the first half of the year and I’m really excited about a lot of them. Putting this post together I have been singing a mix of Genie in a Bottle and You Ain’t Never Had a Friend Like Me. Note: They don’t mix well together. Anyway, I had fun thinking about what I would want from a hypothetical book genie. I’m terrible at giving up on books. I’m one of those people that thinks things can get better so I push through. Usually they don’t get better and I’m left reading a book I don’t enjoy which isn’t fair to me or other books. But I have actually taken the drastic action of not finishing a book for 9 books.
