  • Design. I love when a good blog has an amazing design.
  • The blogger. A good blogger is really important in keeping me interested.
  • Easy navigation. I don’t want to jump through hoops to look at your posts.
  • Content. Content is key. It has to be something I’m interested in or like to want to follow/return.
  • Update frequency. A dormant blog is not a friendly blog.
  • Coloring. It’s a simple thing, but the right colors used really can draw a person it.
  • Style. The blogger’s style is important especially when reading a post. If they do something creative and different I’m definitely going to be a return visitor.
  • Humor. I like a good sense of humor when reading a post.
  • Professionalism. In that humor though, be professional. Don’t be rude to people that may stop by with profanity or other things.
  • Fun. You can be professional while also being fun. Show who you are.
  • Link-up/Challenges. I love me a good link-up/challenge. Really gets you involved with other bloggers and gets a blog to be known.
  • Giveaways. Sure, everyone loves to win stuff, I know I do. But I like the fun ones that mix it up.
  • Graphics. A good graphic can go a long way. It brings attention to some things and is fun. Just use them in moderation.
  • Comment replies. I know, some blogs are bigger than others, but I like when a blogger takes the time to comment on something I said to them. I don’t get to everyone myself, but it is a nice touch to see it in a comment thread.
  • Relatability. I need to be able to relate to the person, what they are blogging about, and what they like.

So what are your Bloggy Appeals? Anything different than mine?
