A New Look and a Change

Earlier this week I decided to put some money into my little baby and I purchased my blog domain name from WordPress. This was a big step for me as it was solidifying the fact that I am actually doing this blogging thing for real. I am no longer seeing how it goes. I am a blogger and it is time to act like one.

So with a shorter blog name came a new, sleeker blog layout. I had been thinking about it for a while. I loved my old banner. It was me and the things I love. But it was also something that I threw together when I started to blog so I would have something. Really what I wanted was a cleaner looking design. And after much searching through the endless themes in WordPress’ library I finally found The Adelle Theme and I couldn’t be happier. As a polka dot lover and a minimalist lover it was a an easy decision. So I would like you to say good bye to me old banner and hello to The Adelle. Things are bound to be tweaked as I work on making this space my own, but I have to admit I am pretty happy with what I decided on.

With the new look there is also a new change. For the the past 9ish months every Monday, well almost every Monday, I have been posting Monopoly Money Monday(MMM). It has been a lot of fun to spend fake money and to pull together outfits and nail polishes and books that I want. Well as of the first Monday in September, MMM will be officially on hiatus. I have an idea for a new Monday post, but I’m still working out the logistics. So until that is all settled Monday will become a regular post day. Like most people, I hate change, but I also know it has to be done and I think stopping this weekly series is the right thing to do right now as I am getting burnt out on it.
