Mini Reviews #13 – Holid..

Here are a few brief thoughts on some Holiday book reads: After reading and loving 2 Tessa Bailey books this year I knew I needed to read Window Shopping when I first heard about it. It seemed like a fun Christmas story about redemption and second chances with a little dash of the movie Mannequin. And truthfully it was exactly that. What I didn’t consider was that it was a short book and with a short book comes things not getting to be fully resolved and a lot of instalove happening. Don’t get me wrong, the story was fun and […]

Mini Reviews #10 – Netga..

Here are a few brief thoughts on some 4/4.5 star Netgalley reads: Amelia Unabridged was a book I wasn’t really sure how I would feel about it when I started it. It was a mix of friendship and common interest. But it was also a story about grief and being left behind. It’s about how you gone on after a part of you is gone. Review: Paradise Cove – Jenny Holiday

Review: Paradise Cove – ..

I’m a Jenny Holiday fan girl. There is no point in denying it. When I first met her writing with her Bridesmaids Behaving Badly series I knew I was going to be a fan for a while. There is something so right about the stories she tells and each book in the series got better and better. And honestly the same has happened with the Matchmaker Bay series. Brothers liking the same girl can easily be a hit or miss with me. The author really has to nail it for me to buy into it because if they don’t it can come off a gross and creepy.  Mia Sosa is one of the ones that has nailed it. Lina and Max had such an unexpected chemistry that felt natural and had nothing to do with his brother, Lina’s ex-fiancé. The story definitely wasn’t perfect and it had one small head scratching moment for me, but I devoured this book and loved it. It was engaging and charming and […]

Briefly Romantic (3)

Welcome to the third installment of Briefly Romantic. Today’s books are all books from Forever Publishing. First let me say how much I love the Braddock family! They are so genuine and loving and just a really fun group. I think they are the reason this series as a whole (I still need to read book 1, OOPS) is so enjoyable. But sadly Now or Never just didn’t 100% do it for me. Don’t get me wrong, it was entertaining and a super quick read, but there was something missing. I don’t know if it was the chemistry between Winnie […]
