Mini Reviews #9 – Netgal..

Another month, more Netgalley reviews. Here are a few brief thoughts on some 3 star Netgalley reads: In theory You Lucky Dog sounds like it would be a really fun, cute rom com. It had all the parts. Sadly, for me, that just wasn’t the case. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed some of it, like the dogs because they were ADORABLE. And I also liked some of the family aspect. That was a good thing to include, especially Max’s family. But for the most part I found the plot very slow and Carly’s family felt like caricatures and not […]

Review: Beach Read – Emily Henry

Review: Beach Read – Emi..

When I read the description for Beach Read I was immediately sold on the idea of two authors that hate each other (and tell very different stories) being stuck in a close proximity. You see, I love those two tropes. Sure the close proximity wasn’t a “forced to share a bed” kind, but neighbors that feud is just as good in my book. Briefly Romantic (7)

In 2019 I read the beginning of a new series, The Bromance Book Club. It was fun and quirky and made me laugh. There was something oddly entertaining about a group of alpha males, mostly professional sports players, reading a romance novel and taking “pointers” from it. It was refreshing in a sense. So when I heard about book 2, Undercover Bromance, which was featuring my one of my favorite guys from book 1, was coming out I was thrilled. And while Undercover Bromance was good enough, for me it was missing some of the magic book one had and […]

Romance Material

It’s true when they say that reading tastes change. When I started blogging Andi’s ABCs was a blog that only covered young adult books. I had lost my love for romance novels and just stuck with what I was currently into. But as time passed, 7 years to be exact, I found myself falling back in love with the romance of a romance book. I actually even spent a whole month in 2019 reading just romance books and it was glorious. Now I spend my time between reading YA (which I still love) and an exciting new romance. 2020, in […]

Review: The Bromance Book Club – Lyssa Kay Adams

Review: The Bromance Book Club..

There is something oddly amusing thinking about a group of professional athletes sitting around reading romance books. Just the idea of these guys that play these sports like football and hockey picking up a swoony romance book makes me giggle. So the concept of The Bromance Book Club had me from the start. I was curious how a story like this would play out. It had the potential to be too cliché and out there, but all in all it lived up to my excitement and I’m so happy to have read it. The Bromance Book Club is about Gavin, […]
